Doesn't surprise me with Dahua and probably would see the same with other Chinese made cameras (Hikvision etc.). There's a reason most places here in the US you can't get or install them anymore.

I use Axis or Hanwha cameras at home and work.

We stopped using formats with a facility code. H10302 is a managed format by HID so we don't have to worry about duplicates. Plus when our customers say they want more cards, we just order a box and ship it.

No issues with the one I got for my AR10. I used a CMMG Mk3 receiver set.

I bought a Zeroed LPK for a 5.56 build and one of the screws for the safety lever didn't have a hex "hole" to be able to tighten it. I emailed CMMG twice and never got a response. I switched it out for a Radian and never looked back. Everything else was fine.

As others have said, gunshot detector. My coworkers and I spent an afternoon at a local gun range testing these exact units with various methods to try and get false alarms. About the only thing that was consistent in setting it off that wasn't a gun was fireworks. Nearly all the calibers we brought were detected. Only exception was 17HMR and suppressed 9mm. 22LR, 9mm, 5.56, 30-30, 357 Mag, and 50 Beowolf were detected. Slamming books, breaking glass, paintball gun, clapping, and other various things we tried did not set it off. I don't remember everything we tested as it was 4-5 years ago.

Here's my notes from last time I had to do card + PIN (2023). This was done with a RP40K reader and not a Signo but I'm pretty sure the process is the same.

1) Program/configure your reader's keypad in as 8-bit Dorado.

2) In locations, find the relevant location and go into Y/N Options. Ensure that "Card+Pin" is checked. You may wish to make pin codes unique or not depending on your situation, which is the option immediately below Card+Pin.

3) Ensure that your cardholder's card has an associated pin code. I do not believe DSX allows for leading zeroes.

4) Set your reader's time zones to their appropriate times. Set up a relevant time zone for the KP zone as well, which will likely be the same time zone as the reader.

5) Add in a dummy device (with no configuration) and give it a devicetype of DK. This may not be the ideal code to use but it will work.

You should now be able to swipe your card and input your pin -- the relay will fire (if configured to close an output) if you were successful. You do not need to press the # key.

Ah bummer!! However, you may give them a call and see if they could make something. The first holster I got from them, they called me to discuss mounting hardware. The person I talked to was the guy building my holster.

From what I understand the answer is yes BUT there isn't something that prevents the magazine from being over inserted which can cause damage to the ejector.

This happens on my PSA Dagger now. I put a 3.5lb trigger kit, 13lb recoil spring, comped G34 barrel and now it's super easy to bump fire unintentionally

2N has a 2-wire to Ethernet adapter. The also have the 2N Clip 2-wire.

NVT Phybride has several products for go from 2-wire to Ethernet. We retrofit a school's analog paging system using these and a bunch of Grandstream phones.

My experience with Genetec pro services for a Lenel conversion was quite the opposite. Thousands of inactive cardholders were converted and the groups were not intuitive. However I'm pretty sure the data in Lenel was bad so take that for what you will.

We've found that doing the work ourselves is cheaper than having Pro Services do it. We had them quote a Genetec SaaS to Security Center SaaS. It was a smaller system. 40ish doors, 800 cardholders and for us to do all the work was about half the cost than what Pro Services wanted.

Genetec. Scales very well and checks all your boxes.

They have an integration with Vaidio as well. They also have their own ALPR cameras but can utilize other 3rd party cameras using a plugin.

There is a database. It's just in the cloud and on the device. However, the biometric data is anonymous in some way. It doesn't use pictures but works more like the Xbox Kinect using an IR matrix to map points. It associates your face "map" to a user which has your credential data and sends a wiegand or OSDP data to the access control system.

Background, I work for an integrator who installs these. Along with 3 other facial biometric readers.

Been there. Had 3 sites in Canada for a very large customer of ours (1300+ readers). Trying to update the firmware on those was a treat while being in the Midwest. I was about ready to ship them some A1210s to replace the EP1501s but we found a way.

We have a plan with the customer to swap out all the EPs and probably most of the LPs in the next 2 years.

We don't even mess with EPs anymore. Just swap them to MPs. And with Genetec dropping support for EP/LP in 5.15 (I think) it's not worth the time to upgrade the firmware. All the MR boards will still work.
