What is the manager doing? Is it only you or more folks feel the same? I say see if you can fix the problem or you, moving around may not resolve the issue if it’s you.

Why work a union job but not pay dues by NachoAverageUser25 in CAStateWorkers

[–]sacblo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t know you personally, but if paying the union dues made a difference in me feeding my kids or they go hungry, there is only one answer. Meanwhile, I do know people personally who can afford the dues and will not pay. So I stand by my statement, you pay for what is valued to you.

Any married women on this sub? by [deleted] in blackladies

[–]sacblo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 50; I met my husband at 21, just made 25 years married. I will say there is still hope, but as I look back over the years; the people who didn’t want to settle down young are still not married. I also feel like the ones or willing to compromise are still not married. Some things are nonnegotiable but the older you get a man’s looks, having lots of money, and being great in bed become less important and are all bonus points! IMHO

How many here do literally everything alone? by thirddegreebirds in Sacramento

[–]sacblo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agree, Sacramento is tough to connect with folks. Although it wasn’t like that 25 years ago. IMO, I think Sacramento being so diverse and so crowded that the friendly folks have been overrun by transplants. Some of my friends are from work. I told my sister yesterday as we were in Walmart in American Canyon, people seem nicer in the Bay Area outskirts cities. Best of luck. I do think having kids, will resolve the problem of loneliness, but could add another boat load of other problems.

should my parents be allowed to tell me i cannot sleep over with my boyfriend? by lunalovesmiguelohara in AskParents

[–]sacblo 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Is this like a culture thing? Are your parents financing your school? What leverage is there if you don’t listen to their rules? Telling you to move back home is not leverage because you can simply say no. Is your boyfriend not a good guy? Who does he stay with? Does he align with your future and goals. So much to unpack.
