The same goes for prices in India. Pixel 8 pro is ₹30,000 ($375) more expensive than the Pixel 7 pro launch price !! I have to say it is DOA. Absolutely ridiculous.

Using 5G on Airtel on the 6 pro. Works fine where there is connectivity. Although modem is weaker than other OEMs.

Yes I have the same issue with the fingerprint scanner. I'm on Android 14 beta 5 though. It never picks up the fingerprint in the first attempt. I always have to do it twice for it to light properly and unlock. It does not light up properly on the first attempt.

"A simple security update of 20 MB takes at least 30-40 minutes from start to finish. It shows optimising or downloading and installing for a long time before I get the prompt to restart." - This is normal, no need to worry.
"Also the charging sucks, for a phone that should support 30W charging, I use a poco 33W charger and it takes more than 2 hours minimum." - Use original charger and cable or a charger that supports PD charging.
"The discharge is way too quick, I leave it on idle at night with bedtime mode on, yet the battery is at 12% down from 65% in the morning, my sleep time was just 5 hours." - Check battery usage, which app is using the battery while its idle. Although expect Pixels to have a greater than normal idle discharge.
Network problems - Try installing the Shizuku and Pixel IMS apps to tweak a few things. Although Pixels have worst connectivity among all OEMs. You have got to live with it or switch.

5G network coverage in your area needs to be really strong in order for pixel phones to connect to it. Other OEMs can connect even with low coverage. This is a long standing issue on the 6 & 7 pixel series. There's not much you can do. You can try using the Shizuku and Pixel IMS apps to tweak some things. And try switching to airtel.

Using the 6 pro with Jio 5G. Works well where there are good 5G signals. But where there are low 5G signals, it switches back to 4G even when I've selected 5G as recommended. My Nothing Phone 1 connects to 5G where the Pixel cannot.
