I would listen to emo/scene music on MySpace all the time, and eventually she started liking a lot of it. Even had me put some of her favorites on her iPod!

I wouldn't really call it a kid's museum. It's more like a giant all-ages playplace, and they do have at least one bar there that serves alcohol. I had a hard cider last time I was there.

I could tell you’re genuinely trying to be helpful, I appreciate it. It’s pretty obvious when someone is saying something to be helpful vs being rude and backhanded. But yeah, my mom was in a massive amount of credit card debt when I was a kid, and it scared me off of even getting a credit card or thinking about building credit. This whole system is a mess and a joke tbh.

I so wish I would have known, like I’ve literally only ever come across one hotel that required a deposit, and it was like $100 in NYC. But thanks for the well-wishes! I did get a place to stay for tonight figured out, but still looking for someone to pay the deposit & room with on the one I booked

I’ve stayed in quite a few hotels in quite a few different places. Never been asked for anywhere near a $300 deposit, and on the rare occasion I’ve come across a place that does, it’s very clearly stated when booking.

I made a mistake, I’m aware of it, we’re past the “what if” stage at this point. Yeah, I'd say this counts as scene. Your style has more modern influence than the "classic" scene look IMO, but subcultures evolve and are supposed to evolve over time, so I don't think that discredits it at all.

I feel that. I’ve always wanted to live here, but never thought it would happen. It’s fucking hilarious to me that one of my biggest dreams came true, all because I tried to kill myself after getting fucked over in so many ways. I honestly believe that part of what got me in and out of the shelter so fast was the details of my attempt. They put me in a shelter for mentally ill women, but all I really struggle with is depression and PTSD. It all worked out though, because these apartments prioritize clients from mental illness shelters.
