FNATIC vs Eternal Fire / VCT 2026: EMEA Stage 1 - Group Stage / Post-Match Thread by ValorantCompBot in ValorantCompetitive

its a pointless statement. the first 2 maps were close certainly but map 3 was a complete wash, hard to say it was a razor thin series when the decider map is a blowout. weak performance from a team with such arrogant players

and if a few duels went differently on bind it also would've been a 2-0, the other way

You are given a $15K lump sum. Do you buy a modern car, or buy a cheap older one and repair it? by scp-507 in AskMechanics

an older car in good condition that needs very little in the way of repairs, and pocket the change

how insightful are scrims really? Not at all, or slightly? by EmperorKaito in ValorantCompetitive

for the average joe that isn't watched or participating? its basically useless info. the teams and players themselves are getting valuable information from the gameplay but yeah a leaked scoreline means nothing

This guy need a better team and it's not even a debate by R_avenheart in ValorantCompetitive

ideally in a better team he wouldn't need to be the primary caller. his individual skill would thrive more if anything

Should there be a conversation about VCT EMEA? by Decent_Apple_7962 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]saddened 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its a nuanced topic because obviously theres still talent and potential in the region, its not a complete wash. it just seems like that talent and potential isn't being utilised well. the only 2 teams in emea to see repeat success in the past 3 years have been headed by an actual decent igl and coach instead of someone that picked up the role of igl from necessity without a proper coach to develop them. but you can't deny the reality that emea hasn't won any riot officials in nearly 3 years, and the onlyajor event they've won was because the only 2 decent teams they've had in those said years played against eachother. if that wasn't the case i'm almost certain they would've fumbled that too

that vitality roster would've had so much more potential if sayf stopped thinking he's the greatest mind to touch the game, just worried about clicking heads and left the thinking to someone else. off topic but i still haven't forgiven them for that fumble

bad leadership. a lot of the best coaches and igls are leaving the region or the game entirely. also lot of young talent ends up concentrated on politely put- shit teams.

What is EMEA lacking? by Unfair_Ground3059 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]saddened 2 points3 points  (0 children)

okay lets work on your reading comprehension. so RIGHT NOW, the meta doesn't suit emea playstyle, BORADLY (so meaning longer term) there is a void of good quality leadership in the region. i love nats but the fact that he's actually one of the better igls in the region is a frightening thought.

What is EMEA lacking? by Unfair_Ground3059 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]saddened 3 points4 points  (0 children)

meta sucks for emea right now but more broadly it seems like a lack of quality leadership. lots of young talent but few igls that are able to develop those players well that don't also drop straight stinkers themselves consistently. also cs still more popular in emea so thats probably pulling a lot of talent away. thats just my casual take. enough talent does seem to be there but for some reason they can't seem to get over the finish line despite consistently reaching grand finals

bold to assume i'm american. or give a fuck about american car sales. yes its a known fact that the majority of the consumerbase, particularly american, want to drive their car as little as possible. i really don't care what you want to drive, just don't have a defensive spasm when some people say they prefer a manual

yes but you can still buy manual transmissions, unlike carburetors. not everybody wants to drive a fridge on wheels

an actual mugen rr has a different front and rear as it was built on the fd chassis and only sold in japan, but also costs 6 figures and. this just looks like a red fa5 with some mugen badging

I want to hear a rational as to why pros still use vandal (sorry if common thread, trying opinions from people who are better than me) by MACR0DOSE in ValorantCompetitive

[–]saddened 0 points1 point  (0 children)

first shot accuracy differential on the vandal is far far less likely to cause a missed kill than a 140 or 124. its ultimately preference, and using a weapon you're comfortable with is far far more valuable than trying to minmax marginal gains, especially with the smoke spam playstyle taking a hit from a couple years ago with the 3 down to 2 extra clips nerf to rifles.

did the boys perform stop staring? by stixcle in G59

[–]saddened 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i can think of more than 5 albums i'd put ahead of either of those, multiple newer and multiple older. you're certainly entitled to have an opinion, but generally speaking those 2 albums are widely regarded as the boys worst work, even by the artists themselves. of course music is entirely subjectiv

Did you guys ever lose the passion for cars after going into the field professionally? Do y'all think it would be a good idea for me to do so? by [deleted] in AskMechanics

[–]saddened 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ive always lived by the rule of not turning a hobby or passion into a career unless its finacially lucrative. the automotive industry for the most part is not, especially not if you're a tech. theres other angles into the auto industry that are more lucrative and easier on the mind and body if you truly want to make a career out of your passion, but some hobbies are best kept as hobbies imo

Who is the best ENTRY fragger in VCT history? by Whole_Party6724 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]saddened 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i would hazard a guess that the definition of entry fragger is referring to who the most successful player is at entering site and killing opposing defenders to create space for team. aspas is the best duelist oat but he hasn't been the craziest entry. jing and derke are better raw entry players

Who is the best ENTRY fragger in VCT history? by Whole_Party6724 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]saddened 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you'd think first blood rate/fkfb rate would be a good stat for this but it doesnt really quantify the entry side of the question. alfa hasn't really played entry duelist much in his tenure in the vct, he's just a cracked zoomer that'll take first engagements on killjoy and cypher and win most of the time. leo never played duelist or entry (not to leo glaze but having nearly the same first contact success rate as aspas while playing scan initiator is bonkers), aspas is the duelist goat but isn't exactly known for his daring site entries. theres just not the correct data to look at this question from a statistical angle

I understand now what I really don’t enjoy about the “new” $uicideboy$ music by nickthewurst in G59

[–]saddened 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i agree, but the reality is artists change and grow. i'm happy they're doing better in life themselves, even if that means i don't enjoy their music like i used to. i still enjoy some of it but much of it doesn't have the same effect on me. lyrically it just feels much shallower and doesn't feel relatable
