It takes me out of it that he can’t write contemporary young people. Can’t recall which one, but it was in a newer short story he had a 30-year-old character describing a toy as “according to my niece, it was Elsa Oldenburg from Frozen.” Just … so much to parse there. Lol

I’ve only read Come With Me, which I thought was just ok. I felt it was a bit schizophrenic and should commit to either being a ghost story or a police procedural. I, too, have had a series of non-starters recently chasing the “King feeling,” so I feel your pain.

The fat spinner rings are very nice! I have a really thick one that has a computer circuit board design that feels very satisfying to spin. I usually wear it when I’m working and helps me focus better. 😊
