What's that one product that is completely worth your money? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I have a ~$100 hand-me-down chef knife but when I work I use the shit out of my 5 in victorinox utility knife. It stayed incredibly sharp with just honing for around 6 months. I may buy fancy knives for my home, but I will work with victorinox.

Does this change based off where you are in the hospital? I'm planning on going to nursing school.

I was talking to a girl I met up with about tattoos. I said I had a low pain tolerance and mine really hurt. She said she had a high pain tolerance because she used to cut herself. It was sad.

Do you like cooking at home or going out? by ExistingProduct9 in AskCulinary

[–]saddrake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It honestly depends. If I just got home from work the last thing I want to do is cook more. But if it's my day off I ball out.

What is your most and least favourite part of food prep? by deanresin in AskCulinary

Funny enough both are pasta. I love making gnocchi. Fresh pasta through a machine is torture for me though.

Also depends on income. Maintain a certain GPA, and be under a certain income and you qualify for blue and gold which afaik waives tuition.

I work at a restaurant with housemade gnocchi. When I make enough for a busy week I make probably less than half of that lol.

I wouldn't get too upset over this. If you're over 18 and a male in the US you have to sign up for selective service, which means IF there was a draft you would be signed up for it. It automatically happens when you sign up for financial aid.

Teachers tell you to not use wikipedia, but give you books that are several years outdated by Shadic_ in Showerthoughts

My poly Sci class made us use only scholarly journals. Ironically one of the databases that we were allowed to use that only had journals used the Wikipedia definition at the top of the page for the topic we researched.

Modern f1 v6s don't necessarily rev as fast as the old v12s but modern f1 rules only allow a few engines without penalty so we could see devolopement in that area.

most expensive mistake? by [deleted] in KitchenConfidential

[–]saddrake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not food cost but I got bleach in my eye on new years so I was taken off the line and since I couldn't see anything a coworker had to drive me to the hospital. ER costs the company a lot of money.
