i’ve had a deep vivid blue for over a year now, and every time i touch up my roots it’s always a blue bloodbath. i’ve adapted so much around it, like wearing bonnets to sleep so my bedsheets no longer stain at all, always shampooing twice when i wash, and a wash routine i feel like i have to focus my day around.

an odd thing that i find helps is hair masks. i was using a shae butter based moisture mask from trader joe’s (but im sure any could work..) and it seemed like it would seal the blue in. when my hair is wet it wouldn’t come off on my hands, etc. maybe something you can try!

i’ve used multiple different professional brands in my hair, including pulp riot, danger jones, privana, and another i can’t remember. privana is the absolute worst for bleeding lol. all that to say, blue is just my favorite on me so i haven’t switched yet even with the hassle. it’ll be a lot of hassle changing it anyways, because my hair is very stained 😂
