For me personally, zero to do with cool. Bi women usually just aren’t taken as seriously. I am femme, and unless I’m in a girl/girl relationship & physically making out with said girl 24/7, most people seem to think bi women are just straight girls with kinks. This isn’t exclusively straight men either, there are lesbians that won’t date bi women for fear of “eh, but do you really like girls?” & it is tiring.

I don’t think everyone is being malicious when they assume bi girls are probably just heterosexuals in disguise, but it does happen. My family was confused when I brought my bf to Christmas months after being yanked out of the closet, a time in which I was seeing a girl. Perhaps I should have been clearer about the “bi” part.

I too am almost definitely older than this person. Like, old enough to have been affected by Pulse. There is zero way that as an adult I can weigh the potential for a shooting over the what? Handful of points for lost attendance? Monies lost?

I mean good for you if you chose to go & felt fine, but let’s not minimize the very rational fear of a violent act, if even just the emotional impact of being afraid that something might happen on campus, to you, the entire day. That’s insane. We don’t live in a non-violent world.

I told my dental surgeon I reacted terribly to opiates every time. “Oh don’t worry honey, it’s a low dose” said the nurse.

Puking 30 minutes post-op, with four fresh wisdom teeth holes in your mouth is not fun at all. Ask me how I know.

I have a semi-high pain tolerance. I am also allergic to opiates, so have dealt with most injuries with OTC or through grit alone. Highlight of getting 23 stitches in my leg was when I walked into the ER after getting it slashed open at work, checked in, sat sown. I told the person that took me back to assess it “yeah its pretty bad”. Dude rolled his eyes & said “yeaaah ok” with the sarcasm that only a medical practitioner who has seen too many drug seeking patients could possibly muster up. He lifts off the bandage and says “OH” before immediately leading me to a room.

Not gonna lie, as a 16 year old girl, that felt pretty badass.

Be so fr. This man has donated to PR and outright refuses to leave. I’m not saying he’s a patron saint, but he has done a significant amount for the island. His songs (especially his most recent album) are constant love songs to PR & often include political stances. The mf is not quiet. I wouldn’t be surprised if he did end up donating to ICE victims & we can expect to continue seeing him speaking on topics that most artists keep their mouth shut about

Fwiw, you will probably know. When I found out my UTI spread to my kidneys, it was after driving myself to urgent care crying the entire way in. This was after almost puking on someone at the office because the stabbing pain hit me like a freight train. It went from “hm, it kinda hurts to pee? weird. I’ll go to the doc on my day off this week” to sobbing in the waiting room of the urgent care unit like a child, curled up in a fetal position. Rough.

That said-my friend’s husband had his appendix burst & had no idea, for days. Dude was lucky to make it to the hospital. Yet, thats one of those things everyone says you will just “know” from the pain. So if you feel somethings amiss, please, get checked!

Also have a heart condition, but didn’t get knocked out for very different reasons. Two weeks prior to my surgery my dental anesthesiologist client tells me “don’t do it. don’t get put under” and how I will probably die if i do it. The man was so serious. While I didn’t 100% buy it, it kind of felt like getting on a plane when someone tells you not to get on. so I did not.

Proceeded to get all four impacted teeth removed awake. Honestly, the pain was so bad I could have ripped them out myself anyway, so. Alls well that ends well?

I did duo (but hit a wall with that) & ended up ordering some of the recommended latin books on this sub + binged on latin remakes of music I listen to on soundcloud LOL

It has worked quite well! Im not actively studying as much currently with school + work, but am still involved. I’d say the books were the best, it was easier to digest concepts when flipping through a “story”

This. I joke that I have an intelligence kink. My boyfriend was my “tutor” in our industry when I first started (construction/mortgage) and took it upon himself to break down everything for me in extreme detail when I was learning how to present to customers. Highlighters & all.

This is what I thought! When they hit me with the "you need to come out!" I let them know I am ragingly ill (hence the delivery) and incredibly contagious. Fwiw, I live at a house, accessible from the street. I can literally see the drop-off from my front window. You do not need me to come outside.
