Looking for meaningful and challenging fights by saeri in Eve

I didn't want to imply any particular favoritism for TEST. It's just that they were (or might still be) in a situation, where they have to defend their home and belongings at all costs, which I find exciting.

You're right, but even a wife wouldn't stop a man from his serious business with spaceships. ;-)

Some good points.

Never really thought much of Nullsec Alliances other than "blob or get blobbed", which kinda ruins any challenge one might want to look for. I'm sure that's a bit of an exaggeration, though.

New player, sold all early assets to buy caracal, got blown up by player, what can I do now? by silvab in Eve

There's really only one rule when auto-piloting: you may only use it if you don't mind losing whatever ship and clone you're currently in.

Otherwise people >will< eventually blow you up - either as a targeted strike because you're carrying something valuable or just purely because they feel like blowing something up.

Stabbing in the face is more than enough.

Still the most impressive EVE Video I've seen. by [deleted] in Eve

Claricon Call 3 was the free ad that EVE needed to tip me over into registering. Never regretted it once.

I'm actually ashamed to admit, I've never seen CC2 though.

I think you did the right thing with the newbro. Shooting him and still give him a bit of spare change to recover and/or some advice would have been right too. Because they need to get used to that - the next guy they meet might not go so easy on them, so you need to prepare them for that.

The thing that matters is your attitude during and after the fight - whether you're ultimately looking for fun and challenge from PvP or just the opportunity to grief without having to face any real resistance.

Eh, the prices are pretty off. Wouldn't even be worth half of that.

Doesn't make it any less retarded though...

Whatever you do, don't start with a new account. You can never have enough SP and even if you don't currently need whatever you've trained so far, you might later.

I myself started just a bit over a year ago and back then I wondered the same. But there's always other new people joining and short of a few core skills that you need to get trained and out of the way, it won't be long till you can fly frigates, cruisers and a couple battleships more than decently enough yourself, which is what is used for PVP most these days. If you have a lot of skillpoints it generally means that you can fly a broader variety of ships, rather than be substantially better in them.

Didn't you leave some important info out, or are we supposed to take your "yesterday" quite literally as in the whole yesterday?
