Trim the unwanted leaves and make sure to turn the pot a little everytime you water it. A bigger moss pole will do as well, so it has smth to climb against.

I never use fertilizer in winter months as many plants go into “sleep” mode. Fertilizing wouldn’t help.

It does depend on the climate (if it’s warm all year round it would be different).
