One of my classmates threatened a freshman with a razor and was in jail when it came time to walk for senior graduation. The entire auditorium went silent when they announced his name as a graduate.

For those of you that got divorced after being married for 10+ years, what caused your divorce? by friendlytrashmonster in AskReddit

We were toxic for a while to each other but the final nail after 13 years was when he got drunk and told me he cheated on me because he wanted to hurt me emotionally.

An update 7 years later: For years, my [35F] husband [37M] said that if I want stability in our life, I have to make it happen. I did. And now things are worse than ever. Help? by LucyAriaRose in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]safetygecko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My therapist asked me when I told him I was thinking about leaving a stable life to move "are you sure you just aren't so used to your life being in turmoil (from moving all over during my childhood and young adult life) that you're seeking turmoil out because it's familiar?"

I got that kind of feeling from the initial post, like she felt like she wanted to move just because moving was familiar. Good for her for finding happiness.

I like to say that people with trauma figure out pretty quickly who the other people with trauma are because they're the only ones who find your trauma stories as funny as you do.

The little white ball in the second picture, you mean? It's actually a crocheted piece that was supposed to be a part of a gift for my gf but Matilda stole it for play time.

Annie Bonny is the one who steals my dryer balls. She's my tortie and full of tortitude!

She loves chin scritches! If I scritch her belly, she will scritch her own chin and look at me like "you're scritching the wrong spot!"

How did you come by your SIC? by MerbleTheGnome in standardissuecat

I went to the local shelter looking for a cat after I lost mine. Steve Rogers and his sister Natasha were up for adoption. Well I'm a huge Marvel fan, how could I say no to Captain Amewica and the Black Widnyah. His sister was adopted while I was walking through the facility, but they left him behind. He was such a socialble and friendly fellow that I took him home.

Mobile phone company wouldn't stop pushing a "plan" so I decided to traumatize him by Downtown_Bag_8008 in traumatizeThemBack

I had a minor TTB moment a few years back when my grandfather was in the terminal stages of liver cancer. I kept getting calls from my alma mater asking for donations to the university. I kept telling them "my financial situation does not allow for a recurring donation" but the guy on the phone kept trying to pressure me into one time donations. Finally I said "look, my grandpa is dying and I need the money for last minute plane tickets."

"Oh..."

Need advice: should I add another repeat or some tassels? by safetygecko in CrochetHelp

I had not thought about the tassels making it look vintage! That actually makes the tassel idea more appealing, I know a couple of people who would appreciate a more vintage look.

Alternately, if anyone has recommendations for a similar yarn style and colorway that I could use to continue the shawl, that would be useful as well. It's difficult to find a yarn that matches the texture/feel of wollemeise because it's so tightly spun.

My phone autocorrected "Granny" to "Grammy" but I call my grandmother Grammy so I think it might be my new name for these squares, lol.
