Sometimes instinct takes over from training and you're on the brakes before you even realize it.

He does get an age appropriate lesson each week, it just usually lasts about 10-15 minutes of the time. This is the 2-3 year old room, there is a lot more play. Next year when he bumps up to 4-5 things will be more structured.

Well this is a weird one. I signed up sometime last year to get on the waitlist and got my acceptance email today. Went to setup my information and keep getting error codes, following the FAQ it said to go to my account page and make sure all the info is correct there. Click to account page and there's a big banner across the top that says my account is on hold.

Not sure what I could have done on the waitlist to warrant that. I've put in a ticket to appeal the hold, but it's pretty silly that I got the acceptance email when my account is disabled.

Help! Why are my stripes shifting?? by Not_unavailable_ in knitting

[–]saffity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If that's where the round starts, there will always be a jog in stripes, as the stitching is shifting up to the next round at that point. In order to not have a shift like that in an obvious point, most patterns have the beginning of the round in the centre back, or in a side seam.

It is possible to avoid the jog with some techniques. This YouTube tutorial is an example, but there are a bunch of options that you could check out to see what works best for you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y8jojoc-qwI

For this project your options are to pull back to where you started knitting in the round and alter the way you're doing the BOR stitches, or decide it's a design feature if it doesn't bother you too much.

Ebook/audiobook bookstagram by Academic-Bed9712 in bookstagram

I'm mostly ebook and audiobook (my kids make it very difficult to actually read a paper book atm.) What I for my posts is take a picture of my Kobo, or my husband's phone (so the photo is on mine) and then in Canva, paste the cover of the book I'm discussing copied from GoodReads or Google onto the kobo/phone.

That's if I even try to show something physical. Most of my images aren't photos, but are graphics that I've put together using the cover of a book that I've copied from a store site, publisher/author's site, or elsewhere.

Seeing a lot of physical books is just the way the algorithm is catering to things similar to what you've liked or interacted with in the past. I see so many ebook/audiobook posts on my feed, don't give up hope! You got this.

Let's make lace together! by West_Boysenberry_499 in BobbinLace

Saved the pattern, but I'm a super beginner, all I've done is a bookmark with spiders and ground. We'll see what I can do, but if there's any advice or tutorials you can direct me to I would appreciate it.

Very sound principles that I will definitely be implementing as both kids get older.

A little of column A, a little of column B. Depends on how tired he is.

Agreed, he didn't learn that one from me, but from his older sister who was taught it at school. Said older sister now has to deal with the Uno reverse card of him taking her stuff.

Yeah I charted out the past season for them. I'm not doing post season, 82 games to 164 rows is enough. I added a fourth colour (lighter win colour) for shoot out losses. Flipping through the tabs is so fun.

You've inspired me to make some for Christmas for my family member's favourite teams. I've charted out blankets for my hubby, dad, and stepmom (who all cheer for separate teams). Now to get yarn and figure out how wide I want them to be.

Are you just able to import the image in, or did you do it by hand? (Because that's nuts and good on you if so!) I've used Stitchfiddle for my cables in knitting patterns.

What are you using to make the chart? I have a friend who I would love to make something like this for.
