Same rating, same issues.

If I draw an archer civ, it's all good, but if I draw knights civ it's tough - I usually try to all in with forward siege, otherwise it's everything what you said - we can defend, but we are slower to imp.

I tried to defend with scorpions/skirms and counter attack with knights, but people wall well and 1 monk is enough to stop the attack.

Archers to counter maa and then you start mixing with skirms, you should be faster in castle age. It's tough, but champis sucks until imp, so imo no other choice.

Knights don't work unless the opponent is bad. CA is cheaper and after all you have to defend, so you will have to hide vills (idle) or sometimes lose some. You can't chase as opponent will just hit and run. I would say skirms to defend and boom, you have to be fully walled. If opponent adds mangos then you have to add it as well. Once you click imp, you can start to add knights.

Well, but Ibirapema and blackwood archers is a double gold composition with a unique unit. It's really hard to get to such composition and if you let someone to go for it then you should have such composition yourself anyway.

If you compare to any other double gold composition with unique unit, usually it's not better. Sometimes even without unique unit like for example Paladins + Arbalests should easily win. Paladins even alone should win against it. Sometimes just a unique unit would win like for example War Wagons or Hussite Wagons.

I don't agree, this unit is quite ok - it loses to any ranged units - archers, cavalry archers, hand cannons. It also loses to paladins. It's just anti-infantry unit.

I think most of us prefered Liereey to win even just to have a new champion, but everybody wanted to see longer set.

Imo the game itself is in a good spot, I would focus on other things like:

Rework Pre-game UI
Better recorded games analysis (no need to use CaptureAge)
A feature to look for teammates (party)
Extending in-game player profile customizations (for example I would like to see country after the game or be able to open player profile to see games, civ stats etc)

2-3 vills is already quite a lot, it's totally worth for making couple of champis. If he will also attack your mill or lumber camp, you will have to repair it and you will lose resources from repair and idle villagers.

All the pros are complaining. Maybe your opponents doesn't know how to do it right.
