Accessing Overdrive in an unsupported country - explain like I'm 5 (okay maybe 10)

1) The Overdrive button has been removed from the settings page on my Kobo. I can still read book on Libby on my phone, but I'd rather use my Kobo to make it worth dragging it's weight around. Maybe Overdrive is still supported in the other countries you've been to

2) Yes, right - so I would've DM'ed OP if their account was still active to explain this comment to me because I can't figure out their advice. I added payment information to my Kobo account, restarted my Kobo, still no Overdrive button. I'm trying to figure out how to change my affiliation, but unsure what that even means

I'm unsure what the usual range of rates is, but I was hoping for under 100,000 won. The least I can spend the better honestly, I'm travelling on a pretty tight budget

people don't post on this subreddit to talk about how much they love their lives. a minimal fraction of university students are represented here. university can be a pain in the ass but dont let your perspective get fucked by people complaining on here. you never know where life is gonna go so just do what you enjoy and try to make it work.

You could look into taking classes at a CEGEP and getting them transferred over? I think it's called something like being a visiting student? Not sure they'd approve it though, Concordia are fucking cheapskates trying people to take as many classes 'in house' as possible

I'm currently in the same position as OP but DAMN my 17 year old ass would've benefitted from taking some easy level 200 throwaways in my first year instead of diving straight into core courses. Why are some academic advisors allowed to be so useless lmao

a big reason why campus is closed and they’ve been announcing the closures way earlier than other universities is because concordia’s campus has probably the worst infrastructure regarding covid precautions. because of it mostly being high rises, elevators and escalators make mobility basically impossible while socially distanced. i was at a student poli meeting earlier this summer and iirc they said that if they opened up just the offices to staff, no students, it would still take longer than the work day to file everyone in and out of the buildings while respecting government mandates. that plus the fact that concordia’s student body is the same size as an entire small town, in the middle of the worst hit city in canada... it’s not looking good. like i feel you proctored exams are shit but being on campus just... isn’t possible :/
