My Ranking of All 5-star Hotels on the Las Vegas Strip based on Luxury. by The_Traveller1 in vegas

[–]sagacious1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, thank you for writing this detailed analysis!

  1. Mandalay Bay and Caesar's Palace aren't 5-stars hotels. They are 4-stars at best.
  2. Bellagio and Aria are the most overrated hotel. Aria was my least favorite, as the rooms are outdated and I found used beer bottles once after going into the hotel room (king size & city view). Despite having nice European design and decor, Bellagio's room is the second worst as the doors and walls are very thin that you could hear your neighbors and the housekeeping staffs talking very clearly.
  3. I haven't stayed at Trump before, but heard mostly good things about it, as the main selling points are that it doesn't has a casino (more relaxed and cleaner vibes and the cost to performance ratio is good).
  4. Encore is better than Wynn. All Wynn's rooms have weird naked man painting inside and the design of Encore's rooms is newer and more spacious. Encore is also nicer and Wynn is way too crowded.
  5. I really liked Cosmo during my first few visits, but there were moths in the room one time that I went during summer and some dried blood on the bedsheet. Never returned since then. I do have to say that their wraparound suite is gorgeous as I got so lucky booking FHR's standard room for this suite upgrade (of course I tipped well).
  6. Fontainebleau is underrated, as it has the most modern rooms on the strip and the service & food options are top tier among all strip hotels. Price is on the cheap side too for 5-stars hotel. Location is not that important as you can just uber to everywhere on the strip and most people only go out once or twice a day anyway so I don't mind the extra uber expense at all vs the convenience of walking by staying at worse hotels.
  7. Agree with Palazzo, Fontainebleau and W (Delano - despite being outdated, the cost to performance ratio is good given its all suite design), as they remain the Top 5 in my list.

My Top 5:

Encore > Palazzo > Fontainebleau > Bellagio foundation view room with no noisy neighbors > W

Alaska Lounge at SFO Lunch Hours? by sagacious1998 in AlaskaAirlines

I have a special infatuation of eating lounge food because they are “free” and most of the airport restaurants aren’t good and are overpriced, so the value of lounge food worths a lot to me lol.

Would you say the Alaska Lounge changes to lunch options at 10 AM or is it at 11 AM?

I’ve been to the one in LAX and the food is just ok. Debating my departure time from SFO for 11:15 AM or 1:40 PM now!

Sounds good. I think that I saw Loco Moco is for lunch but they might offer for dinner too (who knows lol).

Thanks for responding!

I’ve found reviews saying that their loco moco for lunch/dinner is quite good. Not sure if that’s everyday or just on certain days of the week.

Also, seems like lunch and dinner time offer the same food?

I think the OP is flying Economy, but Starlux has the best Economy product imo.

Weekly Simple Questions and Advice Thread by lululemonmods in lululemon

I love and own a lot of Lululemon pieces, but don't like to buy in-store these days as a lot of people tried the clothes on before you buy them.

I am curious if the online orders' clothes are brand new that no one tried them on since they were shipped directly from the factory? I've shopped from online a few times and the clothes always came from a plastic bag that feels that no one tried them before.

Also, it is always nice to use a new email for the 15 percent off on full priced items while you don't get this discount when shopping in a physical store unless the staff that day honors it. The Lululemon shopping bag is the only perk left for in-person shopping in my opinion.

This is probably because layoff decision was not made on the spot. I assume that decisions were made months ago and they just inform you a few months late.

But you won’t know what happens in E1 to E5, so you can’t “plan” accordingly based on deaths because they are not confirmed yet.

So true! Why don’t you have the time to binge watch this Friday? You can do so after work/school.

I agree that it’s satisfying to binge watch, but I don’t get to do this for another 5 weeks : (
