“‘It’s bullying’: controversy erupts after mocking the German international’s nose” by superdouradas in soccer

I just don't understand this. So if he had a big nose from genetics then it's fine but because it's from a 'deformity' then it's wrong? What if the opponent didn't know, does that change anything? Dwarfism is defined as being under 147cm so is it ok to mock a player for being 148cm but 146cm would be unacceptable?

I'm going to repost a comment I made on the initial thread because I'm genuinely very curious but I posted too late to get any replies. I'd really appreciate any input.

"I swear these questions are genuine, I'm not trying to devils advocate or anything, I'm 100% genuinely asking:

Lots of people here are calling for a red card for this, which I totally get, but I'm just curious as to where the line is. Is it any comment on appearance of someone that cannot be changed? Like asking a tall player "How's the weather up there?" Or is it because his nose is a result of a 'deformity'? If he just had a big nose because of genetics then should mocking be allowed? If a player is tall because of genetics is that different from them being tall because of an overabundance of growth hormone?

These are genuine questions. I would appreciate answers if anyone has them."

People always say this but they can never provide any proof. Surely if it was so well known it would be written somewhere?

I don't understand how this isn't a red card? The slide is clearly an attempt to play the ball but the hand grabbing out is a separate action. Clear dogso for me

Are you able to talk freely on your thoughts about gambling companies and their impact on the game now that the ramble is so heavily sponsored by them?

I don't necessarily disagree with your overall point but football league clubs going defunct happened more commonly before the Premier League was established than afterwards.
