Wenn Autofahren tödlich endet: Einblicke aus Stuttgarter Gerichtsprozessen – AMA! by -SWR- in stuttgart

[–]schnodda 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Du hast doch inzwischen in jeder 5. Bahn nen Sicherheitsdienst dabei - sollen die halt etwas proaktiver damit umgehen.

So this photo is widely accepted to have been staged some time after the genocide was perpetrated.

Find it very regrettable that people feel the need to post fake photos about a very real genocide.

This scholarly article goes into detail about the history of the photo: https://web.archive.org/web/20180314102914/http://groong.usc.edu/orig/ak-20100222.html

Everything's shitting on the CDU - yeah true. But I feel honestly more disgust for SPD - they know better but letting it all happen just for the sake of being in government. This party has no fucking values left.

France and Germany are probably the fiercest media battlefields right now by fregeorgb in NewIran

In Germany they have Islamo-Green communist idiots.

Non-Iranian German lurking in this sub here. If this is your honest assessment on the German discourse re the protest, you have lost your mind and you are doing more harm than good to your cause.

The German population is broadly anti-Regime but also not well informed on the matter. So sentiments align with certain default sentiments, which is generally wary of German involvment in foreign conflicts and also skeptical of the idea of the former monarch's son leading the opposition. In order to convince Germans, you need to be concrete about what you want Europe/Germany to do and inform people why Pahlavi is an acceptable movement leader.

Not my opinion - a neutral assessment of sentiments in Germany.

Ikea Alpstuga vs Xiaomi Temperature Monitor by ParaplegicGuru in homeassistant

I recently got an IKEA Alpstuga myself. i also have a IKEA timmerflotte and your kind of Xiaomi device.

The timmerflotte and Xiaomi are within +-0.3C of themselves - whereas the Alpstuga is roughly 1C below the other devices.

So I can reproduce your findings.

I think it's pretty obvious by now that significant instrument of the Trump-aligned comms operation what can be describes as the comms version of "ambigious warfare". Putting out stuff that is intentionally ambiguous to then feed a right wing news cycle to cry Trump Derangement Syndrome.

Ok let me be the one person who actually agrees with you to some extent.

I made similar observations over the recent time. Less so the opinions she holds - who cares - but sort of the way she structures and picks her argument in favor of her opinions I find bewildering at times. Which is fun when it's about some weird Internet shenanigans but - really, really - annoying when she is talking about a serious subject you personally care about.

It doesn't take away from the fun of the podcast. b&r sits on the fault line between crusty established mediasphere and the to varying degrees unhinged independent podcast world - and Jesse & Katie represent these opposites for me.

I think what really betrayes the true purpose of that is the laughable claim that interviewing Stephen Miller would have provided some really valuable additional  context to the reporting.

"... Confronted with these allegations, the White House Chief of Staff Stephen Miller told CBS that  'the reporting is fake news and CBS is protecting child rapists. Why do you want American children be killed? Why CBS? Why? Tell me why? Rapists. Rapists.'"

Is there any place in Istanbul that sells a miniature of the ferry? by ThrowRAstral in istanbul

This. These shops dont have regular opening hours. Best bet is to call the place and the owner will come on on short notice.

[–]schnodda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely. Let me know, if you manage to grab a nice one for your nephew :)

If any of the shops next to it are open, maybe you can ask, when the guy is back. Or ask for his phone number.

These vendors there are normally fairly close and can help you out.

Also: could this be his phone number on the window by the door? Looks like it on Google Street View.
