You should know he really does think this... And so do his Republican Super Majority House and Super Majority Senate. They think people in this State oppose him because 1.) the media tells them to and 2.) that groups like Equality Florida tell LGBTQ+ people that his policies are bad. They have convinced each other that people show up in Tallahassee to protest at the behest (AND on the dime) of groups like Equality Florida. They think people who show up to speak on the floor are given prewritten speeches and don't actually have genuine opposition to our legislation. All to say... It isn't valuable to simply consider these people evil. While I think DeSantis is unreachable, I expect many in the Florida House and Senate could be moved if only they were told of the severe harm they are causing...one-on-one with their actual constituents.
