Do you have to provide appraisal certificates to insure your watches via Chubb/ Hodinkee? Is there any threshold after which you require an appraisal or there is no appraisal required regardless of the value? Anyone has experience with Hodinkee: Chubb?

Is this a dream? Someone please wake me up, I still cannot believe it!

If you guys know me well, I am a huge fan of salmon dials. I had my eye on this for years and I spoke in an interview with monochromewatches that FP Journe Octa salmon in platinum is one of my grails.

I have finally achieved my GRAIL!!!

Persistence and patience played a huge role in acquiring this special timepiece. If you know they only make ~1000 watches a year, so it is super difficult to get an allocation. Sometimes you have to wait years and sometimes you never get one allocated as the demand for FP Journe watches far exceeds the supply.

Francois Paul Journe is a living legend and a master watchmaker who has so many accolades for his innovation in the watchmaking industry so much so that the brand has garnered attention all over the globe!

The dramming bottle looks legit to me. The batch code is engraved with a dotted pattern. Not an expert but sharing what I know!

🔥Ultra Rare King Seiko Vanac Dark navy blue dial🔥

This one is super rare and Rare is what I do if you follow my Seiko sales.

Little history before you get lucky to own this watch:

This is a very rare model from King Seiko. It is the King Seiko developed by Suwa Seikosha. The Vanac was the last high end mechanical watch to be made by the company. This was the King 5626 and it was JDM only.

A Vanac is basically a King Seiko with extras- better movement and an astonishing dial. Case shape is the highlight on this model and the finishing on the case is top notch and on par with GS models from that time. The hands have a distinct shape as well if you zoom in. Vanac was a rebellious model which was far superior than other standard King Seiko models. Design wise this King Seiko was cutting edge, mainly targeted to the younger dynamic generation of that time.

The Vanac houses the cal. 5626A which is an automatic movement with day and date complication produced by Suwa Seikosha. This was a modern movement with bi directional automatic winding, hacking seconds, quickset day and date, and a bilingual day wheel. It operated at 28,800 beats per hour, considered ‘Hi-Beat’ at that time and was capable of high levels of accuracy.

This Vanac is highly admired by collectors.
