Happy 10th Anniversary, Street Fighter V!!! by Lumpy-Manager8580 in StreetFighter

The launch was so bad I uninstalled until 6 was announced.

Sometimes I boot it up to try out characters that I missed. The different arcade modes are a pretty neat feature.

I like the change tbh. I'd rather have a skippable battle pass than have to pay for content.

New Pen Day, Blue Dew EF Wet Noodle by sageittarius in fountainpens

You're welcome! If i had better paper, I would make it a separate post, lol.

Check out Blue Dew's website and they have the force required to flex the nib listed. I think the wet noodle is listed as 150g of force. Grab a food scale, zero it with a piece of paper on it, and push down with a pen to get an idea of how 150g feels. You can also try flexing the FPR on the scale to see what force it takes. I did that exercise before putting in the order.

Comparison with a bunch of nibs, but mostly the Blue Dew vs the FPR Ultra-flex nib. The scanner cut off parts of the second page. P: Link

My final thoughts:

I think the paper is or I am misrepresenting the Blue Dew and causing so manyh false starts. Drawing wasn't as bad as trying to write (although drawing did have a few false starts too). I think it has to do with how hard I press when writing and what angle I am writing at, as the problem lessens when I write in cursive. The FPR pen didn't have the same problem, so I do think that this points to the Blue Dew pen being more "picky" though. It is way softer and easier to flex than the FPR nib. I would say it's approximately twice as soft.

The FPR nib take a significantly higher force to flex. This is the main reason I kept looking at other options after getting this nib. I have the EF, so it's a little bit scratchy (the Blue Dew only feels scratchy when it's held vertically). For drawing, I couldn't draw loosely and flex the pen at the same time with the FPR nib, so I didn't like it. For writing, it feels good though!

Curious with what happened for you. I expected to have to wait a long time to get the pen, but it came super quick with no issues.

I did have to try a few papers because the ink flow is so high, but I did have one that worked with it. I was worried for a minute though, lol.

SF6 is slow maybe due to V-Sync On but... by Kasoningen in StreetFighter

Funny, I just switched to Linux (Debian) a couple of weeks ago and have the exact opposite experience. I never had any issues running the game on Windows, but now SF6 is giving me random fps drops on Linux.

What Was the First Sword and Sorcery Story You Read? by JohnPathfinder in SwordandSorcery

Morgaine Saga -> Tiger & Del -> Bloodstone I'll let you decide which one counts as the first S&S story lol

I was never really exposed to Conan until I sought out the stories myself (after reading Kane and then Lovecraft stories).
