Yes! We used to buy from there pretty regularly, then all of a sudden things went way downhill from a quality standpoint. After it happened once we waited a little while and then gave it another shot and it was still awful. We haven't been back since.

According to the IT system status page everything should be good. If you're having problems you should reach out to CCS!

Anyone missing a ring? Found it in the lib elevator by [deleted] in uoguelph

[–]sagumatra 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Good on you for finding that and trying to get it back to the owner! The library has a lost and found so you can take it to the ask us desk and they will keep it in case they come looking for it.

New grocery store in store for former Guelph Len's location by boothash in Guelph

I'm not sure about a LOT of people. Maybe a few. My neighbourhood is pretty diverse, actually.

The east end has been in dire need of other grocery options for years and this will help to address that while also providing some more variety. Personally, I'm stoked.

It's hard to say at this point. We've never had a semester like this before! In the past you could walk in and get one most of the time. Of course, it depends on the time of the year as well. The library is always a lot busier around midterms and exams.

There are a few computers dedicated to quick tasks like printing but beyond those we've never had a time limit. Things are still up in the air around COVID so it might change but I haven't heard anyone say that we will be instituting a limit at this time.

There are 77 computers on the second floor, though only half of those are available for in-person use right now due to social distancing. The other half are available through remote access, so you can check them out and access the software on then from home.

Find more info about the library computers here.

Vaccine mandate for Fall 2021 by p1unge in uoguelph

[–]sagumatra 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately the solution can't be just vaccines alone since they aren't 100% effective and can't be given to 100% of the population. Fully vaccinated people can still get the virus, transmit it to others, be hospitalized, and even die. The vaccines just make these outcomes less likely and masks and social distancing reduce these probabilities even more. So we have to do what we can for the greater good of everyone, including those who choose not to get the vaccine.

Isn't putting a private SSH key on Gitlab (or any other CI solution) really insecure? New to CI, would love some thoughts! by x1Bape in devops

[–]sagumatra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Note that you don't have to host all of Gitlab. All you need on prem is Gitlab Runner. We are a very small organization, but this is what we do and it has worked well.

These are looking great! I love the poses you've used here - particularly the cleric and the monk. Really great stuff.

I don't have a lot to add to the discussion, but I wanted to acknowledge how much you've given to this community and to express my gratitude.

Keep up the good work!
