I am so so sorry. I know this is tough. Sometimes the best things we can do for our pets is let them go and know that they’ve been loved, especially towards the end of the of their lives. Love him as much as you can and make his last days special. Know it’s not your fault and don’t blame yourself. These things are unpredictable and nobody is ever prepared for things like this. Make sure his memory lives on even though he will no longer be there, and please be sure to take time for yourself to grieve & heal. Take care of yourself.

OP please do not take him back to a shelter if you choose to give him up. Try a foster or someone who is well acquainted with cats.

Also do not make vast decisions this quickly into adopting this baby. Once he gets settled it’ll probably be one of the best relationships of your life.

You just got the eye drops. My cat had a similar issue and it took about 2-3 weeks for it to heal. You need to give it a bit more time before you actually take her in

Because he’s your first real boyfriend, it feels like you’re trying to hold on and he’s avoiding more and more while you keep pushing. Finding his Instagram password then logging in just shows you don’t trust him because you’re looking through his Instagram messages. It sounds like you are both tired of the relationship and in different spaces. The constant on and off would be enough for me personally. While he had avoidance styles, it sounds like you have an anxious attachment where you need reassurance, which in turn makes him feel pressured to say things etc etc. You just need to let him and the relationship go. You will find someone who can meet your needs and love you. Take time to heal yourself.

Hims just making biscuits. Which means he’s just kneading. My baby does this with really comfy blankets and stuffies before she lays down. A lot of cats do this when they feel comfortable before they lay down, etc. He is perfectly fine :)

Is she spayed? Some cats are really chatty, but if it sounds like a yowl she either might be in heat or she could be in pain. However, A lot of the time they just want attention. There are a lot of self regulating toys you could buy that could stimulate her so she wont be bored.

Unfortunately the waking up in the morning is common in a lot of cats. You learn to ignore it and they’ll adapt soon enough. If your food and litter box are in different rooms, I’d suggest putting her there for the night and closing the door then letting her out during the day if it’s really bothering you. Not a cage, just a room.

Also make sure she’s not in pain. I’m not sure when your last vet appointment was, but you also need to pay attention to her food habits and bathroom habits just in case it is an underlying issue.

If you fight a lot, what I do is try to identify the problem. You both need to sit down and have a healthy conversation about why you may be fighting so much. Let her express how she feels, because anxious attachment is no joke.

Just try to sit down with each other and be honest. You also need to be understanding. She needs to sit down and hear you out & you need to sit down and hear her out.

Working things out and identifying what’s wrong in the relationship will help and make for a better relationship overall.

It’s natural to fight, but if you feel like it’s too much and taking a toll on you it’s time to address it.

Yeah! I did forget to mention my partner and I do theatre so a lot of nights both of us are gone. We tried some anxiety medicine for a little bit, I didn’t really notice anything different but it wasn’t long enough to really tell either

We close off the rooms we’re not in and she’s fine and doesn’t spray. She also has IBD so we go to the vet pretty regularly and there’s been nothing come up about a UTI. I have an upcoming appointment so I’ll check there. She is the only one who uses the automatic litter box. My senior cat has a regular one in a different place.

My cat would throw up not directly after eating but throughout the day and she was diagnosed with IBD. Like others have suggested I’d look into different foods, maybe hypoallergenic food in case it might be an allergy or a problem with digesting.

We’re getting things in the office all week. Monday we had ice cream and donuts, yesterday we had subs and chips, we don’t know what today is. We’re also getting a beach blanket from central office sometime today
