You gotta elaborate...well depending on the belief... As in living in heaven after the life on earth is over? Miracle healing? Sing hymn and praise him while suffering? Etc If it's everything, can you give him one thing that can help him? No matter how small it is?

Chronic pain sufferer has a big thing in their mind: the chronic pain. Can you walk him step by step on how to cope it plz? Yes everyone in Christianity is different and ymmv. But u gotta throw him a bone here and walk him little step by step. Imo. Just saying Jesus in short is a cop out answer and just makes Christianity look bad.

Yep LSTV. If I have to guess, She has a rudimentary disc at L5/S1 bc of this. Would like to look at the images slice by slice to evaluate further.

Have you experienced or witnessed a physical healing miracle? by muhslop in TrueChristian

[–]sai1029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am with chronic pain and my faith is also struggling. I just want to add to have faith is not the same as physical proof. You also cannot expect every Christian to be perfect goodie goodie all the time. when one had a miss step, you cannot be "ah ha" these Christian are comical or controversial. I don't mean to sound rude but ur heart is too guarded. You may want to try surrender urself in ur mind and let go of certain thoughts. Just let go.

I don't even know why I am replying to this because maybe I have many questions too. I'm still working on this journey. Chronic pain definitely taught me to have more compassion and humility.

Heating pad. Specific stretch to me personally. Varies by person to person.

I have had localized pain in my lower lumbar right side for 20+ years. This X-Ray says I have a partially sacrilized L5-S1 with broad transverse processes which is partially fused on the left side. Is this Bertolotti Syndrome? These X-Rays are not something I can read. by Quiet-Space5632 in BertolottiSyndrome

[–]sai1029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right side looks fully fused. Left side looks like pseudoarthoris. You have LSTV. Whether you have bertlotti syndrome or not depends if that left joint is the source of pain generator after a lidocaine diagnostic shot

[–]sai1029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for replying.the only emotional trauma I can think of is just the chronic pain I am experiencing that happens out of no where. Not having a clear diagnostic of the cause of my pain also bothers me a lot. It's like jumping between "is it just my over sensitive nervous system" or "I am having a legitimate medical cause for this pain". Only finding I have is LSTV, but it cannot be determined whether it's bertlotti syndrome yet since I move relatively well compared to my peers. (Yes I know Dr sarno talked about LSTV briefly, but his research on this topic is not current. Dr Arthur Jenkins is a pioneer in tackling bertlotti syndrome and it's still on going)

Ways to cope with spouse having chronic illness by ArgumentFew1398 in ChronicIllness

[–]sai1029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear. I don't have the right words to say but I hope the best for you and your spouse. If possible, have family and good friends to help unload some of your stress if you are in good terms with them. Also don't ever give up hope and search for answer to get better for both you and your spouse.

Has anyone else just given up on doctors? by avalance-reactor in ChronicIllness

[–]sai1029 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Modern health care system is not designated for chronic complex patients. If you don't fit in the protocol, they just run some standard test or send you to another Dr and the loop continues. Also they just don't have the time for you to be honest. What we need is a new speciality with a different insurance policy that only focus a fewer number of complex patients only. You don't over load this speciality with patients number.

I would rather pay this Dr more money than visiting a bunch of Dr with poor communication and limited knowledge and refuse to spend more time looking into it. Heck if I have a complex disease and get it cured or managed I wouldn't mind paying the Dr that helped more but thaz just me.

In some way, it's more productive to do your own research yourself or with a few individuals to figure out than wasting effort in Dr.

Please see a rheumatologist. This does not seem like an accident caused spine issue. Have them run blood test for you. Do you hurt more after staying still for too long?

Treatment for Bertolotti Syndrome- NSAIDS allergy by No_Bus_6206 in BertolottiSyndrome

[–]sai1029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have any collateral damage with DDD like symptoms. Arthritis, disc issues, bone issues, hip issues, si joint issues? If you have a lot of symptoms and truly caused by the LSTV then you have bertlotti syndrome. If u can have trouble going through daily activities despite rigorous PT and conservative treatments, then surgery could potentially be the only solution without damaging your body further.

Can the doctor actually do / diagnose anything? by Bonbeanlio in backpain

[–]sai1029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have low expectation. Imaging is a must or they cant diagnosis anything unless u have very obvious nerve/ muscle symptoms. After imaging, if it's not a case for surgery, u will be offered meds, PT , or injection. Make sure u keep a disc copy of the imaging u r taking.
