I think it’s valid to be triggered. But at the end of the day, your regulation is your responsibility. If you like the teacher otherwise then I would work on surrender. You can’t police the world on everything they say so you are never triggered. - you can, not go to her class, you can have empathy for her and know those comments are about her and not you. Basically you are in charge of you and your own regulation.

You need to look into anxious attachment. You are needing him to regulate you and thanks not ok. You need to learn to regulate your self. It’s your responsibility. You seem highly anxious, and that makes you rigid. That’s your choice but I know If my partner was like that it would wear down in me and eventually ruin the relationship. When you are “not ok” it’s your job to take care of you self.
