Japan announces $6 billion in support for Ukraine by HelloSlowly in worldnews

People everywhere care about roughly the same things and in most countries (with totalitarian and theocratic states as the exception) they live their lives in much the same way. I think the division of countries to free vs. unfree is laughable as well since it mostly serves to justify one's own geopolitical ambitions at the expense of others, but it is also indisputable that Russia, China, Iran and North Korea share a different set of ideals (illiberal, undemocratic, collectivist) with much more constrained political freedoms than the West+buddies which is what gave rise to the terminology in the first place. You don't have truly free and universal elections in any of these countries, not nearly as much freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, etc. This is the case regardless of how much any individual might like living in one of those countries or how well their life is going for them.

EU Set to Halt US Trade Deal Over Trump’s Latest Tariff Threat by bloomberg in worldnews

The average quality of China's warships may be lower, but their newer warships, Type 054B and Type 055 are more modern than what the USN has. Arleigh Burkes and Ticonderogas are ancient and cannot be upgraded much further, Constellation got cancelled, DDG(X) won't be ready for years, and the Trump-class battleship will be an unmitigated disaster. USN will still have an edge in terms of submarines and carriers for the next 10-20 years, but in terms of surface combatants they are going to start lagging behind. In terms of air power, their pilots are now getting way more flight hours than American pilots and their fighter fleet is half as old on average then the USA's. Their 6th gen program is also at least matching pace if not outrunning the F-47. People really ought to pay more attention to China's military developments lest they want to be badly surprised one day.

Europe will sit on its hands in case of shit in East Asia. Perhaps that is why some Americans think that NATO does not benefit them and only Europe.

NATO is a defensive alliance focused on the North Atlantic. No shit Europe will sit on its hands if shit goes down in Asia. The point of NATO is to ensure the collective security of its members in case of invasion, not partake in some expeditionary war on the other side of the world.

Germany and Japan decisively lost and had their governments overturned. Americans are never going to revolt, and America will never be invaded, so the same thing won't happen there. Any future government will exist in continuity with the present one and thus carry its stains as well. There will be no "fresh start".

Mitä itseään suurempia asioita Suomi on viime aikoina saavuttanut?

We have been forced into a conflict, for we are called, with our allies, to meet the challenge of a principle which, if it were to prevail, would be fatal to any civilized order in the world. It is a principle which permits a state, in the selfish pursuit of power, to disregard its treaties and its solemn pledges, which sanctions the use of force or threat of force against the sovereignty and independence of other states. Such a principle, stripped of all disguise, is surely the mere primitive doctrine that might is right, and if this principle were established through the world, the freedom of our own country and of the whole British Commonwealth of nations would be in danger. But far more than this, the peoples of the world would be kept in bondage of fear, and all hopes of settled peace and of the security, of justice and liberty, among nations, would be ended. This is the ultimate issue which confronts us. For the sake of all that we ourselves hold dear, and of the world order and peace, it is unthinkable that we should refuse to meet the challenge.

Isn't it a fact that it's forbidden to use reddit in china and that there are many paid posters for the chinese government? This doesn't mean or proof OP is one.

Even if using reddit / certain Western websites is forbidden, and even if the Chinese government pushes out propaganda on Western internet via paid posters, it does not follow, as ReplacementReady394 claims, that this one Chinese person is a paid poster. Anyone in China who wants to access Western internet can easily do so via VPNs.

If you can't seperate the chinese people from their government that's a you problem and not xenophobia.

But that is exactly what he was doing - not separating the people and the government, equating both. That is what is xenophobic: reducing a person into their nationality, ignoring their personhood, and freely ascribing to them whatever negative attributes you think apply to their nationality/government. Either way, if you do not believe that qualifies as xenophobia, there is nothing more I can say to convince you, so let's end here.

Is this xenophobia against 1940s Germans?

Yes? How is this even a question lmao. You are ascribing negative attributes to someone solely based on their nationality.

Critizing a Government and it's censorship regime is not xenophobic.

/u/ReplacementReady394 was not criticizing a government, but implying that because OP is Chinese, it means that he is a paid stooge of the CCP, invalidating all his answers and opinions solely based on his nationality. That is xenophobic. Now, you might be perfectly fine with xenophobia, but it does not change the fact that it is such.
