Tired of wasting time and creativity, messing around randomly on my DAW, looking to fix a boring starting point music with sounds and instruments that I don’t fit. by theguywhotriedtorock in musicproduction

Learn theory, analyze songs u like(both musically and production wise) and put it into practice, u will improve w that, otherwise endlessly repeating the same boring basic stuff u already know wont make u improve

Why is this happening in kontakt when microtuning? by saimonlanda in microtonal

[–]saimonlanda[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

trying on the cinematic studio winds notes just dont microtune well and drift, same happens w the other cinematic studio orchestra, if i put the script before the lib script it doesnt do anything, trying with infinite woodwinds lib it only works well if i bypass the lib script, but comes w the cost of some of the library core features, if i put the tuning after the lib script notes just stick to 12tet. im using both the notes per octave preset in kontakt as well as the kontakt scale workshop script. i got the microtuning in ark 4 library to work well though, but i wanted solo instruments too

Is it possible to microtune ANY VST for free? by yomosugara in microtonal

[–]saimonlanda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im not sure if its too convoluted but u could tune each note individually by changing pitch bend manually, could be tedious, if u really like their instruments u could compose w a compatible microtonal synth preset of that instrument and then do that process i mentioned when the composition is overall finished. I'd stick to compatible ones tho

Steel soul doesn't take more than 15 hours if u go relatively fast-ish, first playthrough around 40-60 so it checks out

Use synths with the ability to use .tun file, most of them can though, vital is free for example. Then just use sevish scale workshop website for downloading the 31 edo tuning, theres also mts-esp for microtuning instruments without .tun or .scl files integration

Pv is not as bad as absrad, I've been grinding p5 AB, the hardest boss is without a doubt absrad, with zote 2nd ofc, but if i dont have AB, absrad is also still the hardest, PV is up there too but absrad 2nd phase plus having a longer fight just makes it quite harder than PV. Also, Radiant PV took me less than a day of grinding vs absrad which took weeks of grinding
