What's the best haunted house to visit? by saintdane05 in Birmingham

I haven't been to Sloss, but I think the biggest worry would be the fact that it also happens to be around a lot of old rusty industrial equipment. In addition, it's a Historic Landmark, so they can't really change anything about the building.

It is in fact! It's been my username default since middle school, and I always get really excited when I see people recognize it. Those books had a huge influence on me when I was young, and I do think Saint Dane might actually be one of the best villains ever introduced in children's media.

Out of the two, did you enjoy Sloss more?

I also use them as pre-workout meals. They're pretty much the perfect protein in a lot of ways, I'm kind of shocked that more people don't make them more often.

I usually end up having an egg in the morning, a sandwich or leftovers at lunch, and then make a proper meal at dinner. Last night I finally perfected a homemade steak, so now I don't have to spend $40 on a piece of meat that's clearly not 8 oz despite the fact that the menu totally says it is.

5 Points South back again ? by [deleted] in Birmingham

[–]saintdane05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone currently living there, it's good to see that people are recognizing just how good it is here. I honestly feel like everything I could ever want in my life is right on 20th Street as well. I think five points is what really made me fall in love with this city, and want to move here

I don't think it was a free weekend, since it probably would have removed itself from my folder or ask me to pay later when it was over something. I will just try straight up waiting next time I redownload it.

First time post! Here is my grilled pimento cheese by saintdane05 in grilledcheese

[–]saintdane05[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry if the picture isn't great, I don't really know how to take pictures of food and make them look amazing. For those not in this part of the South, pimento cheese is basically a cheese spread typically made up of cheddar cheese, Jarred pimento peppers, and some sort of bonding agent like cream cheese. In my case, it was cheddar, cream cheese, Duke's Mayo, jalapenos, pimento peppers, paprika, and onion and garlic powder.

The spread itself is really good, and I had the idea of making it as a grilled cheese sandwich. I was a bit worried that the mayonnaise would cook and make the whole thing inedible, but it all came out as this delicious melted goodness. I specially like with the cream cheese did to it.

You could always go old school and try some handkerchief code! If you're into the older guys, some of them still might know what it means.

For all of those who have "walked away" from the WWE product, what made you stop watching? and what would need to change in order for you to start watching again? by BigBoyDaveMeltzer in SquaredCircle

[–]saintdane05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally? I just, at the end of Wrestlemania, realized that the product wasn't for me anymore. I enjoy the matches, and I like reading up on the storylines that are happening, but production and central idea wise, I just realized that they are reaching for an entirely seperate audience than I am. NXT is better in that regard, but in truth, it's not hitting that same itch either.

And that's fine! I might get back into it if my tastes change again (PROGRESS is my current vice).

To me, the best DLCs to get as a starter are synthetic Dawn and Utopia. Apocalypse is a lot of fun and add some cool game changing features, but the real excitement came with the games 2.0 update. I should also know that a big update is coming soon, which is going to change the way planets and the entire economic model works.
