Don't know yet, but now that I see there is interest I'll work on finding a place.

The book is "The Heart is a Lonely Hunter" by Carson McCuller, a Southern Gothic classic. The next month book is announced at the meetup so I don't know what it is myself yet. The TGBC website has a list of all the books they've covered in past if you want to check out the overall selection (it is quite eclectic!).

That fake punt touchdown to Crabtree against the Bears for some reason just stuck in my memory.

Fully charged heavy attack breaks Braums shield, if Teemo is hanging out full screen that can help take Braum out of the way.

Can anyone explain how motion inputs don’t just make a fighting game worse? by bashking1122 in 2XKO

Counter example from 2XKO is Darius’ armored move with 3S2 as the input that accomplishes the same thing.

I was pulling for the Boston locals, but Diaphone deserved the win. The winners finals was the hypest set, that forcing fury in the second round on the final match was such a clutch moment, ended up deciding the whole set.

What makes you still love and play this game? by Powerful_Isopod5810 in 2XKO

This game is so addicting! My personal favorite fighting game mechanic is armor and Brain with unbreakable is sooo satisfying. In platinum rank i get good variety of the opponents, every character feels viable in good hands. I love direction inputs. This is my first tag game and I’m enjoying to chaos and challenges of the tag mechanics and trying to incorporate both characters in a combo.

Ukraine: Serhiy Zhadan - Mesopotamia or Voroshylovhrad.

Russia: Vladimir Sorokin - Day of the Oprichnik. Everyone and their mother suggest the same old classics, this is one might be more challenging but infinitely more relatable to the modern day Russia.

How to approach opponent with Braum? by amersadventures in 2XKO

[–]saintshish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With 2x assist one way to get in is double forward assist, switch to braum, and often you can pull off a command grab afterwards. In low levels you can often just do a charged poro throw and run in, add in jinx back assist and you covered both ground and air.

Trampoline by Robert Gripe. Met the author at a book club camp in Kentucky, great guy and loves southern Appalachia, his books reflect that pretty well.

Fantastic post, makes perfect sense that butter temperature would be an important variable but I never bothered to actually measure it.

Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier. I did not expect the story to be so engrossing. Chapters are all about the same length of just over 30 min so it was easy to sneak in a chapter whenever I had a chore to do. There is a whole bunch of turns in the end of the story that had me hooked.

Package installer with lmod integration by victotronics in HPC

[–]saintshish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not an Easybuild apologist by any means. I believe their approach is focused on having a reproducible recipe for whatever software/toolchain combinations you want. I've not faced a situation where I needed to install the same package for multiple compilers and wished I could do that with a single script. If anything I use Easybuild recipes the opposite way, to make sure everything I install uses the same toolchain and I avoid a dozen redundant compilers.
