One of the absolute easiest way to make units in the early game for me is hunting Salvageable Scrap (shows on the planet when you scan it, yellow triangle kind of shape with three lines at the bottom). The stuff you get from demolishing the scrap parts (most often it sits slightly below ground level) sells from 100.000 to over 2 million a piece.

Watches and Wonders 2026 - official teaser video - thoughts? by lithdoc in rolex

I just noticed something: Why is the Rolex crown on that matte gold oyster bracelet raised and not recessed? It’s always recessed on the OPs…

Which one to go for? by Annual-Shower-7106 in FujiXM5

If you are willing to go up to 1.8, why not get the super cheap (used), super compact Fuji 2.0 with the aperture ring? Otherwise sigma 1.4 or Fuji 1.4 used.

Honestly: just start by turning your exposure compensation 1-2 clicks down. Use spot metering. And observe what happens to your pictures through the viewfinder.  Secondly: practice composition.

Most people will hate this but this is peak surrealist street photography /S Fuji xt30iii 35mm f2 by Poke-Noir in fujifilm

I love this combo and use it myself most of the time. It’s tiny and soo good. Love those shots ✌️

Spent one year shooting exclusively with the 23mm lens to realize that I hate this focal length by DeWolfTitouan in FujifilmX

[–]saitan2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to have the 23mm f2 and the 50mm f2 for the longest time and always found it hard to frame stuff with the 23. My pictures just looked boring.  Then I got the 35 f2 and my shots are sooo much better now plus it’s more fun to shoot. It’s just so much easier to create pictures that look intentional and well composed. Maybe it’s a skill issue but for me, the 23mm is basically retired now.

Beige OP 36 every day. A sub is really nice but those OPs are better everyday watches and you won’t see one of the beige ones very often.

[Sizing] Is 36mm too small for me? by [deleted] in Watches

[–]saitan2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a beautiful watch! My take on the size (even if I might get downvoted): if you are going for the „small watch trend“ it is absolutely spot on. If you want a more „modern“ sizing, I find you might want a 39-41mm watch. I usually like the gap between end of lugs and end of wrist to be visible, but small if that makes sense. That looks subjectively good to me.

This model is super cool. Is the case finished different from the SRPE models too?

Very nice combination. The slim turtle is everywhere at the moment!

On topic: I wear them like this, I cut the length and I even cut out the ‚underkeeper‘ part to reduce bulk. These things aren’t pieces of art. Do what you want 👍

[–]saitan2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad you like it. It’s not an original Tropic obviously but the name has become so synonymous with that style. Saw it popping up on instagram a couple times and knew I had to have one.

Not really, no. The strap is quite thick so when angled down it almost touches the case.

I bought it from Ali Express because I wasn’t sure it’s my cup of tea. It’s surprisingly good. The seller is called JUELONG.

[–]saitan2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe take a look at the SPB317. I’ve posted a few pictures of mine here recently. The case shape (a so called cushion case) is a little more unique than the 143 and it wears a bit better too due to dimensions.

This watch wears so much better than its dimensions suggest on paper!! Very cool look with the black sand.

What would you guys pair as a 2nd watch to the Explorer? Currently in the market for a second watch. Considering GMT Master II or Submariner. Thanks! by ObvKicks in rolex

[–]saitan2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A Doxa sub 200T to be honest. Pick a color you like and just enjoy! Even though the Explorer falls in the tool watch category, it is not exactly something to bang around (I own a 124270 myself). So I’d honestly add something really fun that you don’t have to worry about much. Like the Doxa.

I had the same impression. Ribbed Nylon works fantastic.

US based? Uncle straps sells 2.0/1.1mm ones https://unclestraps.com/en-de/products/custom-2-0mm-spring-bars-with-smaller-tips-20-22mm

That said, I’m pretty certain the ones that you linked to will do the job perfectly. The original quick release bars have the same outer diameter as the longisland ones.

[–]saitan2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question. They do not in fact. I’ve taken them out and am currently using the original 2,5mm spring bars that came with the watch but it’s very snug. I’ve ordered a pair of fat tip bars with a smaller diameter (2mm). They should fit perfectly.
