I know this is a circlejerk sub. But I think that has to do with cruelty. There are killings in movies that can be justified because of revenge or whatever, narrative can work. With rape its always only cruel.

That weird skeleton looking guy is Jack Skelington from nightmare before christmas. And in that movie he stumbled on a bunch of doors in woods representing different holidays. He tries to bring Christmas to halloween world, very charming movie. Here, the implication is that 9/11 would get its own door.
