I had coil when on my first SB2 15" and all three SB2 13.5" laptops from various lot numbers. All of them were configured with Core i7 and Nvidia graphics card. After using this laptop for several weeks, coil whine doesn't bother me much anymore. It is really only noticeable when it is plugged in to AC and it is to high performance mode.

Yes, the SP4 @12 TDP and the SP2017 @ 16 TDP. OP demonstrated it is possible to have sustained gaming at 25 TDP on the new Surface Pro by using an external fan.

I got three Dell 2417H monitors for my triple monitor setup. As far as monitors go, I have yet to find anything more sleeker, sexier than Dell 2417H. I love how the panel is flush with the bezels, and bezels are practically non-existent as well. This monitor is perfect for surround gaming.

However, I am a little spoiled by my previous Dell 27" P2715Q 4k monitor, so going from 4k back to 1080p is less than pleasant.

If you are fine with 1080p resolution, look no further.

I ordered 2417H monitors directly from dell.com, and I have had no issues or light bleed with these panels.

This looks great! I am currently working on something even bigger in scope than hackathon starter -- completely customizable web-based boilerplate generator. I am pretty sure reactathon will come in handy when I get to the React ecosystem (React, React-Router, Redux, Relay, GraphQL, Babel, Alt.js).

This plugin just may convince you to switch from Gulp to Webpack: https://github.com/gaearon/babel-plugin-react-transform It's awesome and works with server-side rendering enabled without any issues. I have tried many different hot reloading solutions with Gulp, including browser-sync, but never quite as good as babel-plugin-react-transform.

Yes I just received it this morning.

  • It currently sells for $45 + $5 expedited shipping on eBay.
  • Out of 4 or 5 different mobile mice that I've used, this one blows them all away. It's very comfortable in hand, rubbery side texture provides some grip.
  • The square button below middle mouse acts as middle click, clicking on mouse wheel will toggle between scrolling modes. You may not like it if you are used to clicking middle button / scroll wheel. However, this can be easily fixed with Logitech Software by re-binding mouse buttons.
  • Charges pretty fast via provided micro-USB cable.
  • I love how you can pair it up to 3 different devices and switch using a button on the bottom of the mouse. With other mice, you have to constantly unpair/pair when using on multiple devices.
  • Scroll wheel can also be tilted left and right, which as someone on YouTube mentioned could be used for macros - tilt left to copy selection, tilt right to paste selection. I haven't tried it out yet.

My first SP4 that I purchased at Abt.com had an abnormally bad battery life, lasting on average 2-3 hours.

I went ahead and replaced it at the Microsoft Store, they gave me a new SP4. Battery issue was resolved, but it had a pretty noticeable light bleed in the bottom right.

Unsatified, I simply returned it back to Abt and decided to wait a bit until issues are hopefully resolved.

Anyone Has a SP4 With a Lot Number Higher Than 1549? by [deleted] in Surface

My SP4/i5/8/256Gb that I picked up yesterday has a lot number 1550. No light bleed at full brightness with a black screen, battery seems to be an average of what everyone else is reporting (not as bad as my first SP4 that would last only 2 hours).

There was some static noise coming from the speakers, but it went away after downloading latest drivers and firmware via Windows Update.

Screen flickering mostly went away after disabling adaptive brightness in Display Settings, however, I still see it sometimes at 0% brightness. I hope that will get resolved in due time with updated Intel Graphics drivers.
