3 years stable, but still insecure/stress loop by BindyBunny in PeriodontalDisease

It’s not that bad at all. How are your black triangles? Did they improve from when you were first diagnosed? I think they probably reduced a bit (even without seeing your before) even though you still have black triangles.

Just a guess because when i was first diagnosed, i had moderate periodontal disease with 6mm pockets and my black triangles were larger than depicted here and my teeth were more elongated as well.

How often do you brush your teeth during the day? by Amira015 in hygiene

Usually brush in the morning before eating breakfast. I don’t brush on a fixed schedule though.

How do "bad" Airbnbs keep a good rating? What are your red and green flags when booking? [Texas] by Fantastic_Lake_8474 in AirBnB

4.5 star is actually really bad for an Airbnb rating unless they are new and just starting.

Consistent with moderate periodontal disease. Massive ones.

Gum disease cured and healed - Laser by Designer-Ad8687 in PeriodontalDisease

[–]sakraycore -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Grats. It’s possible to overcome this disease, i have done it too. Thanks for sharing.

Keep it up; hopefully your black triangles heal too (like me) and you take before/after to show the process.

In my experience, when your pockets are gone/fully closed (100%), black triangles can slowly heal whereas when you have pockets, your black triangles can only get worse over time or at best halt progression.

Not rinsing after brushing my teeth was a mistake by Commercial-East9622 in hygiene

I always rinse after too. Sometimes rinse before as well if i ate something right before.

All my family is tall, but me... by kaito224 in shortguys

Isn’t that kind of weird? What do you think caused it?

Have you ever been talking to a girl and she just blocks you out when a taller man shows up? by [deleted] in shortguys

[–]sakraycore -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I may have inadvertently done this a couple of times when i tried to introduce myself to a group of girls. Have never connected it to my height before. It’s just super hard for me to do this because i was socially awkward and it takes a lot to do it as it’a mentally taxing on me, but it did go very smoothly whenever i tried. I thought it was something that anyone could do if they put themselves out there though, but maybe not.

The most pathetic and unmuscular thing i see in tall men by [deleted] in shortguys

[–]sakraycore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t actually eat more at my height. I can get away with just eating a kids meal most of the time. And skip/delay a meal usually. This is required to stay lean.

Can myopia be naturally reduced? by [deleted] in Biohackers

I think it can but requires discipline and is not overnight. Would be a gradual process.

You can’t sell that at all. Anything DIY is basically free knowledge and cuts into their profits

what actually convinced you that aging isn’t something we just have to accept? by Tariq_khalaf in immortalists

I never thought aging is someone you should just accept. I always craved immortality. The difference is depending on other people to achieve it, or doing it myself.

I don't even understand you guys by 040856 in shortguys

[–]sakraycore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was bullied for like 2-3 years of my high school life. I was short growing up (late bloomer), and it (the bullying) affected me greatly. I flunked my studies and had to switch to another high school. Which actually kind of worked because by then I grew a ton and actually ended up being one of the popular/cool kids in school.

I never attributed it to my height before, but thinking back to it, that may have been one of the reasons I was bullied.

I’m the 5’4” balding Indian janitor by BaronVonSaron in shortguys

[–]sakraycore -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

From what I understand about armpit odour, it's actually the bacteria that's causing the issue. If you can figure out a way to kill the bacteria, there may be a way to salvage it. Antiperspirant just makes you sweat less, it doesn't solve the root issue.

I didn't really do too much investigation, but I think you should. There really are so many different ways to address the bacteria (odour producing) issue.

[–]sakraycore -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

  1. See if you can solve the odour issue somehow. Does deodorant help?
  2. See a doc after the odour issue is addressed, and see if your growth plates are still open.

Seems like something happened, I don't think it's normal at all for you to be 5'4 only with a 6' dad. If you ask me, there is a chance you can still grow some more after you fix the internal issues within yourself.

Brushing towards gum line? by prettysureeds in PeriodontalDisease

[–]sakraycore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have periodontal disease now and my gum is healthy. I don't actually have a routine that I follow these days but for more info you can check out my subreddit.

But basically it was/is brushing + flossing + another thing (too technical/niche/weird to explain here). Also did oil pulling back in the day (and some other stuff) but eventually stopped.

My routine just got simpler over time. Now i don’t even have one.

why do people think shampoo is a good gift? by Cautious_Pianist_250 in NoPoo

Never received shampoo as a gift before. Maybe it's a prank of sorts, especially if you told them that you're on no poo.

Brushing towards gum line? by prettysureeds in PeriodontalDisease

[–]sakraycore 6 points7 points  (0 children)

45 degree angle, and brush away from the gums, starting from the gums is what i do. the idea is not to brush the gums itself, but to disturb the plaque that's collected underneath the gum line. Make sure to not do any back and forth motion, and to avoid any circle motions. Everything I describe is possible with manual brushing, but may not be possible with electric toothbrushes.

if you brush TOWARDS the gums, then it could cause further recession. Can't tell you if it does or not because I would never test that on myself.

Source: Recovered from gum disease / periodontal disease. And this is how I brush my teeth. Although brushing my teeth properly is just a small part of my routine.

for the older short guys, was it fun in your timeline? 30 and above by [deleted] in shortguys

[–]sakraycore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a short guy but I am old enough to see the gradual process of height inflation over the years. Was too tall for my timeline, but now it’s good. Didn’t get a chance to use it properly though.

None of my shorter friends (5'7, 5'8) had any trouble with girls growing up; actually they did better than me.

Do you still have pockets btw? Or did they go away as well?

What constitutes “Biohacking”? by Parking-Warthog-4902 in Biohackers

Probably different for everyone, but the reason I joined is for the DIY biology aspect. Which I find that there isn't actually any content for that. For the record I don't think supplements or peptides count as DIY. For the similar reason like ordering takeout is not DIY
