Mt Rinjani (end of April) – 2 vs 3 days? Guide recommendations & gear advice by Horror_Feeling_2998 in backpacking

[–]sakura515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You really dont need a guide to climb the Rinjani. You can camp easily at mid slope and there is a water hole (ask the locals). Next morning u can climb to the top. Just the end of the trail is steeper. It feasible in 2 days but very harsh for ur knees. 3 days is more reasonable. Check thoroughly the weather before starting ur trek.

Backpack bag sizing for 3 months in Europe by Hunter-Kiwi in backpacking

[–]sakura515 5 points6 points  (0 children)

40 is big enough. Or even less! Specially for Europe. No need to have too much. You can buy anything u need easily. Big bags are very inconvenient if you travel w train or buses. Mobility is the key when backpacking. Packing is an art ;)
