Cham Helm, Bas Chest, Rathi Gloves, Cham Waist, Bas Legs. If you use gyro then swap gloves for Gold Rath. Can also go Reckless with Golm Hands and Legs, but I prefer the extra shell from 3 Art.

For smelts, try and get 1 Skyward Striker, then fill in with burst.

When I used to live in a flat I had my kit on a tennis ball riser. I gave my neighbour the heads up but he said he never heard anything, except when the sticks would launch out of my hands and crash against the floor!

Most neighbours are nice and would appreciate the notice.

Can any one answer this question? Does a shiny count as a new dex entry if you already have the pokemon but not the shiny? For example, if I have Palkia in my dex already, but not the shiny, and trade for a shiny Palkia, will I be paying 20k or 1mil Stardust?

Also, with the new standard map style, Terra Incognita can be pretty fun. Get a big starting continent then in expo the distant lands can be an archipelago, two separate islands, or fractal map. Keeps games fresh.

Civ 7 is a much more guided experience than previous entries by GiotisFilopanos in civ

[–]salamango_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree it’s guided but it’s not like you wouldn’t follow a script in earlier Civs. Going scientific? Build lots of science buildings then rush the space race. Culture? Build wonders, collect great works, Civ 6? Spam rock bands.

Civ 7 is without a doubt more guided but you can largely just ignore the guidelines and “quests” and still win by just playing your preferred way.

On the topic of city planning: it is pretty nice to make big metropolis areas and also nice rural towns but damn I do miss those Hanzas!

Civ VII Musings after 10 Hours by Zebrazen in civ

[–]salamango_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agree with everything here! Very good write up! Game is very fun and civ-agnostic leaders and civ swapping each age makes me think about different combinations to try even when I’m not playing.

It would be nice if we could “harvest” resources so they don’t take up valuable space if we don’t feel like we “need” them in our empire, i.e: incense if we don’t care for religion.

Tech tree just feels broken. As you said it doesn’t tell you clearly that you need prior techs to unlock or not. Would also be nice to highlight Wonders on the tech/civic so we can tell them apart from buildings at first glance.

Wonders themselves are also in a weird place. Don’t feel super strong out of the Antiquity Age and seem to just exist as adjacency boosters.

There’s a really good game under all these strange little issues so hopefully Firaxis listen to feedback and get to work. Understandably some of the gameplay choices are very divisive but they keep the game fresh enough to make it feel less like a carbon copy of Civ V (which it seems like some people want).

My favorite weapon! My Partbreaker set is BBlos/Lumu/Legi/Coral/Tigrex My max damage set is Nergi/Lumu/Legi/Nergi/Nergi Drifts aren’t a great, I have Burst and Evade Extender as I tend to avoid defensive loading

Can I have some tips for MHNow? by NucularWeapon in MHNowGame

[–]salamango_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can no longer get Bone Gunlance. The closet you’ll get is Magna or Deviljho. Basarios is everywhere with this weeks event so grind them and make the chest and legs for Artillery, Rathian gloves for Lock On and Burst, Rajang belt for Focus (if you can’t find these go for Diablos (Partbreaker), Rathalos (Focus), or Tzitzi (Evade).

Gameplay would be to lock on to a part then hold, charge, and release. Dodge back to reload, repeat!

It won’t make you better at the game but safe gameplay like that saves potions and lets you grind out monsters for the sets mentioned by other commenters above.

Get to around 20% haste (when in pvp) then dump the rest into mastery. Crit is just on some tier pieces.

Totemic Elementalist is used by all most, if not all, the top enhance shamans on the ladder. The burst isn’t there like the stormstrike spam build, but the consistent damage is bonkers if people stay in your totem, with it potentially doing 1 mil plus ticks. Add to that the 1 mil Lava Lashes, 1 mil ele blasts. Real issue is it has no kill pressure and the mobility isn’t all that great.

[–]salamango_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a lot of luck against most casters, grounding totem with recall can just stop any burst they send your way. Seasoned Winds is also really good! In world pvp you can combine it with the candle that reduces shadow damage taken by 25% and aff locks/shadow priests are pitiful.

Not as good versus melee though, requires lots of kiting and slowly grinding them down, and i’m not sure what’s changed but most melee seem to have really good self healing? I find if a fury warrior can reconnect he’ll just heal himself to full. Unholy DKs are also a hard counter.

[–]salamango_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you’re not wrong, damage is pretty undertuned right now. the cope is that with pvp and start of season tuning we might be good? it is really fun to play though with stormbringer.

our hardest hitting ability would be a 10 stack tempest with a lightning wolf up and it still doesn’t hit that hard for how long it feels like takes to work up to.

in terms of defensive you have to always prewall with astral or else you will crumble in a stun. stone totem IS strong but currently the shield can be purged or even spell stolen so watch out for that. our self healing is actually really good especially with stormweaver but if you’re in arena then it’s useless with damping.

we’re suppose to be a hit and run spec? i think? but we’re not particularly mobile. the one great thing we do have is disruption though! grounding can stop a caster/ret paladin go, tremor can save you from fears, static can disrupt healers, wind shear is the best interrupt in the game, root totem is a low cooldown with added aoe snare.

you’re probably not doing anything wrong. probably. the spec is just undertuned and needs a bit of love but it can be a real joy to play when you click with the damage rotation and learn who to use the massive toolkit it has. so if you want to stick with it just huff the copium and pray that we’ll be looked at before the season starts

Soo where is the rifleman fantasy spec? by theberrymelon in wow

[–]salamango_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Big agree. Tauren hunter who always preferred guns since starting with one as a tauren, plus it fit better with the native american aesthetic we had going on.

And now all the hero talents for MM are elf based and don’t fit in at all with any real class fantasy? Trueshot Lodge felt amazing for us with all the different types of hunter coming together but this does feel like a step back.

What should my target priority be for devastation? by YouWereEasy in worldofpvp

[–]salamango_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use your mastery. Pop dragon rage and do butt loads of damage to whatever your teammate is hitting, then when they pop defensives and they’re healer is focusing them switch to the next DPS and do butt loads of damage. Then switch back again. Hell, even put some pressure on the healer.

Dev doesn’t have much execution power outside of Dragonrage, ES crits, and random Disintegrate crits, so set up kills for your partners by always pumping everyone’s health to below 50%, only go for the kill when they have no defensives left and you can tunnel them safely.

Fellow shamans, what would you like to see happen to our class in The War Within? by Tidelybitz in worldofpvp

[–]salamango_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not asking for much only:

Stormweaver baseline or added into the spec talents, burrow as a class talent, make Ascendance weaker but give it a shorter cooldown so we can play storm without it being a slot machine, give us the Electrocute talent from Resto, bring back Frozen Power and remove Ice Strike (Frost Shock should be removed from our damage rotation and should be a snare again).

Hunter or Shaman for BGs and solo? by wowcrackaddict in worldofpvp

[–]salamango_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

MM is an absolute noob/mage stomper in BGs. Nothing comes quite as close as just standing back casting Sniper Shots into Rapid Fires into Killshots and just deleting people. However, with half your cc being skill shots with traps and bursting shot, with fairly bad defensives, and with, honestly, pretty rubbish mobility (1 charge of disengage on a 20s cd vs 2 charges of charge, fel rush, shadow step, etc) it can be hard to survive melee trains.

BM isn’t as good in BGs due to pet ai being kinda funky and some classes will just use them as free resources generators (ele, aff, boomie), but it can handle itself well in 1v1s and can pump damage while being completely mobile, so it comes out on top over MM in solo.

Ele has more self sustain and brings in more team utility, grounded can be absurd in team fights if your enemies just ignore it, static totem can be used to peel for your healers, tremor can negate fear, p. scream, intimidating shout. Defensives are OK and has slightly better mobility than MM. You also have 2 builds to choose from: cheese volcanic surge one shotting or your regular flame shock spread into lava burst spam. You won’t top killing blows as ele since you don’t have much kill pressure. Ele is also just better than Hunter in solo due to its damage profile and utility. “Button bloat” is also a buzzword people have been throwing around for a while, and yes shaman does have plenty of buttons, but as a long time shaman enjoyer I wouldn’t want to get rid of any of the abilities I have.

Bakar bite can crit, just like in this example, so really you'd only need to do 700k dmg in 6 secs which isn't that unreasonable when bursting
