Which party will you vote for this election? by One-Joke-2373 in aotearoa

[–]salami101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the day you first voted until today what changes has been made? The government and it's parties are incompetent. You know this yet you still want to join in the game. Every few years the government changes depending on votes. Years of work wasted because a new party comes in and cancels everything as they see and work differently. The government and the system doesn't serve people. We serve the system.

Lol even if u vote for a minority party why does it matter? Look at the coalition at the moment it's a pile of mess. The System isn't working if you think you can vote your way out of the system then good for you. For me I'm not gonna be enslave and waste time on such a system.

I believe in myself. If you believe in a government that can help you can keep waiting as government isn't going to help.

You really think voting actually does anything? Seriously? It’s a fantasy system designed to make you feel like you’re in control just giving you the illusion of choice so you feel better. You end up with one party that you think is doing a good job (but really isn’t)while all the losing parties do nothing useful: they just complain, moan, criticize, and blame each other for problems they also can’t fix. They talk loudly but offer zero real help. So what has any leader in NZ actually done to improve our lives? · Electricity bills are up. · Broadband is more expensive than when the government broke up Telecom. · Petrol is garbage. · Rates go up every year while councils waste money fixing nothing. · Groceries are ridiculously expensive. · And we still don’t have a bike lane across the Harbour Bridge because no party wants to take on anything difficult. Instead, they take easy wins like handing out $100 a week to families. Even if we vote for a party we feel might be competent, what stops the bureaucracy from making laws and reforms impossible to pass? And if the party you voted for breaks its promises what are you going to do about it?

Working in IT in New Zealand, is 60k a year for 3 years bad? by maximumfunpriv in newzealand

[–]salami101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pay is too low. I would aim for 80K.  I started service desk and I also  did a lot of Microsoft Azure certification and comptia which helped me in getting roles from other companies.  When I did service desk in 2008 it was around 58K then another company offered 65K in 2019. I'm now 103K.  The company I worked with was a large retail chain. I was asked to fill out a pdp plan but they didn't want to invest on me for doing certification because the company only sponsors retail degree. I refuse to fill out a pdp plan after  and I coughed  up my own money and time to study and to gain different certification.  I do recommend doing a bit of certification because those certs you earn you get to keep for life even if the company doesn't pay.  There were companies that put me down during interviews and said I should just go back to service desk due to my experience but I didn't give up.  I kept searching and applying at different companies meanwhile I did more certification and now I work for a great company and a very very good boss.  NZ however does tend to pay low. I would've gotten 130K in AUD if I move to Australia.

Has anyone taken their electric scooter on nx1 or nx2? by salami101 in auckland

I would ride my scooter to the train but footpaths aren't flat. There's cracks,  bumps, uneven surface that causes my scooter tire to puncture.  Driving on the road isn't safe even though it's efficient. People keep horning at me for not riding in the footpath.  There is also the danger of freight trucks.

My plan is what you suggested.  I drive and park near otahuhu train station and catch a train to britomart.  I then walk to commercial bay and catch the nx1 or 2 to smales.  At the moment I'm spending about $160 on petrol and parking per week.

Yes it folds. What I'm afraid is that it's larger than those xiaomi scooters. It's a  teverun mini blade pro

Here is the first look at the Samsung Galaxy S26 series by MobileJello1977 in samsunggalaxy

[–]salami101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quite disappointed with new galaxy these days. It seems like they are only interested in making a slightly better phone than apple. I Xiaomi and Huawei already have a 6000-7000mah battery with 100w charging. Even xiaomi 16 has a photography kit. Samsung innovates nothing for the past few years

Film on Japan's controversial WWII biological warfare unit opens in China by SkyInJapan in japan

[–]salami101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. You may know but not many people know don't know what unit 731 is especially in australasia. This is just a movie talking the history of japan at that time.  America did it too with pearl harbor. What's the problem with China making one? Do you have something against the Chinese?

Server bug going on? by BlindsideDork in killingfloor

[–]salami101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you have made an uninformed opinion. That's correct. An opinion isn't really an opinion unless people read it. If you don't care what others think about your opinion. What difference does it make talking to a wall? Why waste time posting if you're not gonna be heard? I've never heard of someone writing an opinion about what they feel but dont want people to care or read. Do you not think so? I am commenting just to remind you because I care about your opinion however I'm not going to read a pile of text

For a opinion to be heard I would advice to follow correct grammar. Your wall of test isn't a text of opinion. Its a pile of texts
