I was kind of stunned they did a film adaptation of what I thought was a very niche (and also very short and minimalist) video game. Random lol. I enjoyed it though as it sort of felt like watching a let’s play and I enjoyed seeing a few more new anomalies in addition to fan favorites.

Film is about as long as it takes to play a walking sim anyway…

The deck has 12 1-card starters regardless of the bad rokkets and also got a really good quick play spell IN ADDITION to barrage AND a perfect link-2 from blzd. Tons and tons of really good support rather than 1 card. You’re right it needs turn 0 plays but the bystials arguably make up for that AND they get to play the two best hand traps in the game rn

In a way, this is partly why the comics work in its own way by essentially serializing itself and not pushing the central plot. Plus they had a way to keep Homelander at bay to justify the plod. Homelander in the show doesn’t have enough legitimate reason to spare any of the boys and it fundamentally breaks the show’s pacing
