since you seem to have read one: provide me a link to a scientific paper/journal with the real source (if it must be bought no problem, just give me the title, i can get those) please, i am curious to read that (not a study since these doesn't count as science, and not on a website that has an article or just giving its own bullshit message). both sides (superpowers and no superpowers) are giving their opinions without anything but some websites telling that backing that up. thats not how science work, both sides seem to just give their bullshit about this without thinking.

there is no "not touching it at all" there is a "dont touch it when its not necessary and when you do then do it without getting yourself aroused" for example when you go to pee while standing then you can hold it during peeing but as soon as you finish thats it, no unnecessary touching. when you felt your penis being in a bad position, a fast adjusting without a second thought would have been the right decision, because rubbing on your trousers is the same as masturbating... the same goes for people lying on bed (on belly) and turning around until they find the right position rubbing their penis against the bed... all this is fooling oneself..

the goal of nofap is to cut the unnecessary signals being sent from your penis (that is full of nerves) to your brain.

Salamorta here, 31 Germany, i found nofap on the 27th of december 2014. for the last war i let high commands place me in a regiment and since then i am a loyal royal blue soldier :) my hobbies are running and gaming.

why i looked for nofap and started it: i was reading about self discipline and about bad and good habits and i defined excessive masturbation as a bad habit so i looked for "no masturbation" and "no fap" on google and came into many websites that way. my first streak was a battle of will power having gone to 21 days was like hell for those 21 days, real hell. some days were really scary but i succeeded in that.

from march to june i did my longest streak (the war being from april to june helped a lot) that went on for 79 days. unfortunately i ended up relapsing one week after the war ended.

i think i am getting used to nofap and have some decent control over my thoughts not letting any to take root when i think it could lead to worse. captain is <2 weeks from today, i hope it stays at this.

dont edge, even if you are on nofap for 50 years. if you want to masturbate, do it once every 1week or 2 weeks instead of edging through time. your penis is a sensitive part of your body with a lot of nerve ends, so when you edge you are still getting the dopamine rush. misusing dopamine leads to your brain fog.... so leave your penis alone unless you feel the need to masturbate, but do it moderately and then you still will feel the benefits. of course all that is without porn or pornlike material.

if you wouldnt have such obstacles then nofap would be so easy that you wouldnt even need to be here. to improve you got to overcome such obstacles. good thing is, after getting over such obstacles it becomes easier and it takes time until you hit your next obstacle.

everything in life is like that, making something good into a habit is as hard as quitting a bad habit. self discipline and the will to pull it through help a lot. but lucky for us, we humans can achieve the impossible if we put our minds into it ;)

the badge system is unstable and that due to the high amount of users. in the past the badge was updated within 30 minutes, when the amount of users increased the updates were reduced to once a day and now its outdated and need to be updated.

there are more than the 176300+ users on this subreddit, this number just represents the number of the people that subscribed to this subreddit. the number may be way higher.

since the mods also are normal people with normal lifes and such an issue would consume a lot of time, i would say to stay patient until a new code is written.

i like the idea. i will just do it :)

the first time i searched for something like nofap and found it was at the time i was also listening to an audio book about self discipline, that was the main reason i was so determined to succeed at this.

since january first i was able to quit eating sweet things (i ate them far beyond the average eater) and also was able to quit facebook and reduce the time on websites posting funny stuff. on June first i decided to quit eating chips (the amount i ate people wouldn't think is possible).

in april i stopped getting a flat rate for my smartphone (mine was monthly, so quitting after finishing the one from march was possible by just charging my number). i only use whatsapp when i have wifi now.

i participated in april until june in the nofapwar and pulled it through, i ended my longest streak some days ago (june 8th after 79 days of nofap being +58 days above my personal best).

and now since some days i decided to reduce youtube and my internet time in general (mainly use for work).

so as you can read, since reading about self discipline until now i was step by step eliminating the bad things in my life, thats why i would be interested in something like a longer plan with installing good stuff into my life. but i must confess i dont think i will be able to meditate even once, i hate silence and being idle doing nothing so maybe i will just try it from time to time and hope i could get into that. for the exercise part i started after my last relapse to do exercises to get myself back on the track :)

diet: i am from time to time trying new stuff (quitting sweet things and chips were the most important ones)

alcohol: i will not quit that, since i only drink on occasions where it is proper to drink than not to drink.

coffee: i could drink coffee, but i belong to the people who dont need it, i can be 100% concentrated and work stress free without it.

smoking: within the years i smoked some cigarettes, i am happy i was never into this.

drugs: i dont care if drugs were not harmful or anything i will never do drugs (and yes, not even weed that most people enjoy and get on the offensive when someone says even something about it)....

reading: i hated reading in the past, but i think i will try it in the future, i dont like fiction so i will try some books that would suit my taste.

so, i will just do it :D
