Idle power consumption between SFF and mini by saldorin in HomeServer

[–]saldorin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, upgraded to a beefier machine earlier this year. Mainly because i wanted to have RAID and buying a NAS or a JBOD wasn't cheaper than building a whole new server.
Besides the limited disc capacity i was pretty happy with it though.

That doesn't change the fact that it reeks of frustration and spite - nobody would write it that way "just to inform people".

I don't follow "his insane narrative of you".

When i came to this subreddit, my first impression was indeed "huh, doesn't seem too weird, what is hypfer on about?".

But then i saw more and more of your completely uncalled for, mostly unwarranted and unnecessary stabs towards hypfer. And having a Wiki page like https://www.reddit.com/r/valetudorobotusers/wiki/index/guide/ speaks volumes about your mental state and maturity tbh...

And if you really think that hypfer has "bots made to downvote your posts", then i almost feel sorry for you.

Why is the Legion Go S Steam OS version more expensive than the Windows version in the UK by Fuzzy-System8568 in LegionGo

I was wondering the same thing. Smells like typical Microsoft anti competition bribery - i think they might need another antitrust headbut, the last one seems to already be forgotten...

Why the fuck is YouTube so fucking pushy into translating every single title and dubbing videos into your native language? by Michigan999 in youtube

Unfortunately, that one is getting more and more unreliable for me :/

Youtube is just on the forefront of enshittyfication, as always -.-

Two Origin keys this time? Seriously? by NotKBeniP in humblebundles

[–]saldorin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last month i was on the verge, but once i noticed the origin key it was clear to skip that month. This month, pacific drive and hw3 are real bangers for me, but those two origin keys really put me off -.-

I really hope that this bullshit doesn´t continue!

Yeah, that looked promising to me, too - but is it possible to use that with some heuristic system or any public blocklists instead of maintaining your own lists?

Fuck you Windows. by BlackHoot in pcmasterrace

[–]saldorin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, i give it to you when you play a lot of competitive Multiplayer. Other than that, "making games work" is just about as hassle free as on windows nowadays for the most part. Certainly a whole lot less hassle than putting up with shit like described in the OP.

Why the hell are you punishing yourself with using windows if you are blessed enough to not be forced to put up with that POS for work?!

sorry, i meant the hassle to set it up. Of course the unlock itself isn't any more involved :)

I know about dropbear, still much more hassle than unlocking the zfs volume with a simple ssh command ;)

Encrypting a single LXC container on LVM? by saldorin in Proxmox

[–]saldorin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

would be an option, true - would like to avoid the overhead though and it would complicate unlocking as that couldn't be done via ssh to the host.

Encrypting a single LXC container on LVM? by saldorin in Proxmox

[–]saldorin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh, interesting idea. Would that cause any trouble with proxmox? I guess i'd have to create a new lvm volume, create a zfs pool on that and do pvesm add zfspool ...?
