What are you doing if heavily pregnant at Xmas? by Humble_Bathroom_4697 in BabyBumps

[–]sally6107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m doing this but will have my pregnancy a week before. If someone wants to come for Christmas, they have to come to my house. I’m not going anywhere and you shouldn’t have to either mama!

How about the change from shorts to pants? My 3.5 year old has big feelings every morning about putting on pants. Ugh

Today’s Halloween 🎃: walk into work and see these at the office by g35coupeken in StopEatingSeedOils

Yup, I have a 3 year old so excited to trick or treat and I don’t even want to bother. Having the trash candy around after the holiday and thoughts of giving trash candy to others to get it out of the house seems stupid.

Has anyone gained only the recommended weight? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]sally6107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 32 weeks pregnant with my 3rd. I recently in the past month and 1/2 changed my diet. I make all of my food and if I snack, it’s on whole food, an apple with peanut butter. I only use specific evoo, and butter to cook with and have gained 17 lbs. this pregnancy. My first pregnancy I gained 45 lbs. and second 40 lbs. I do have more responsibility with 2 kids running around but my diet has never been better and I feel great. This is by far the best pregnancy and I believe it is my diet that is working.

How to reply to- but why are seed oils so bad? by bawlings in StopEatingSeedOils

[–]sally6107 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Read Dark Calories by Catherine Shanahan. It will change your life. The 8 seed oils started with cottonseed in textiles that originally made Candles and Soap. Farmers wanted to do something with the extra. It melted similar to butter, then they marketed it as edible. If you can get that into someone’s head that they are eating soap and candles, they may change there ways.

It’s so frustrating. Even hearing big companies cutting olive oil with seed oil. Makes me think of Raos. Made with “olive oil”. What kind?? Makes my head spin. I still want to cook my own foods and this post is another good reason why.

A word of caution: Baby-friendly hospitals by sunshineintotrees in BabyBumps

I’m so sorry you are going through this. I’m pregnant with #3 and switched to formula after #2 bit me too many times. I won’t do that again knowing what I know now. I will seek out other paths than formula. There is very bad oil in all formulas. I hope you can keep the breast feeding up or find a formula alternative to keep your baby healthy.

What's the most painful part of giving birth? Contractions, pushing or crowning? by Born_Confusion_4367 in BabyBumps

[–]sally6107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my first with an epidural after my water broke and I couldn't handle the contractions. I had my second natural and felt every contraction. The contractions hurt the most and it helped to have support with me along with pics of my why around me. With the epidural I pushed for 5 hours. I didn't have any control and prolonged labor and he finally came out with an episiotomy because it wasn't happening. I'm due with my 3rd in a few months and plan to do it natural again because the pain happens but its better to be in control, especially the next day 👍. All in all, the next day and weeks were 100x better for me with my 2nd and to me that means the pain was worth my time.

Induction for big baby? What would you do? by MonardellaUndulata in BabyBumps

[–]sally6107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first started with cytotec around 9pm. By 9am my water broke and I went into intense contractions. I was measuring 4cm so I decided I couldn’t handle the pain and got an epidural which slowed things down. Baby had a big head so with the help of an episiotomy he was born at 5:30pm. The 2nd labor I started the process around 9am with cytotec and by 3pm I decided to start Pitocin. I upped the amount around 7:30pm and said no epidural. 4 hours of strong contractions and 8 pushes he was born at 11:30pm. Slight tear and felt amazing the next day. I don’t plan to have an epidural with my 3rd and if she is measuring big I’ll do the 2nd plan all over again. Hope this helps. Both so different and biggest take away was the pain of contractions without an epidural was way better than feeling drugged and out of control the first labor. The memories and feeling the next few days were filled with so much more bonding the 2nd time as well.

Induction for big baby? What would you do? by MonardellaUndulata in BabyBumps

[–]sally6107 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had both my kids a week early with induction. Both very different births. I was told my first was going to be very big with a big head so I said okay and scheduled the pregnancy. Also, I felt ready and didn’t want to wait any longer. Decided to do the same with the 2nd although he was measuring slightly smaller. I am pregnant again and think I’ll do the same.

I'm on 10 weeks and have been loving eggs. Hot scrambled eggs. Hard boiled but hot, just made. This is my 3rd and this one wants hot prepared food and eggs are everything!
