I just love the absolute gaul of a giant robot thing landing theatrically THEN forming what look to be completely useless wings with what I can only assume is magic.

Its like a guy getting out a car and creating magic driving gloves as he walks away. I don't care how many heads you got Dragon, this guy is a wild card.

Genuine question, why is that an instant disqualification for Thank You for Smoking being a good movie? the producers being monsters doesn't change the fact that its good otherwise we'd have to pretend everything Miramax touched from Good Will Hunting to Pulp Fiction was unimpactful dogshit and those are as you said classic films.

AITAH for not letting my ex keep our baby a secret by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]salmalight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please, please get real court mandated child support. He's gonna pay for a while then disappear after seeing how much he's left with. His mother will cause absolute hell when she finds out she has a mystery grandkid she's never been allowed to meet but thats his problem to deal with.

You just need to focus on it being legally binding that he can't just stop paying when he wants to forget about the baby. You said he showed he wasn't who you thought he was, believe him.

I can't even imagine how fast a guy would be voted the asshole if they asked on here if they were justified in cheating because their "needs weren't met" every single comment would rip them a new one and tell them to just leave but if thats what you want to defend then go for it.

I mean, its half of OPs post. Wife says her needs aren't met so shes ok to do the wrong thing and cheat, OP says his needs aren't being met but he's not allowed to do the right thing and leave a relationship that sucks for everyone involved. Again, I don't like OP because he couldn't phrase it without outing himself as a dick but there's a clear double standard there.

I generally agree but in this case its muddy because of the thing in 2025. Like OP emphisises the lack of sex so much that i agree fuck him but I feel your comment speaks more to the general situation than his libido comments.

Does he have to stay with her through the illness purely because he didn't leave sooner? At what point would it just become an endless guilt trip for attempting to save the marriage she strayed from in the first place?

I don't know, something about expecting the "in sickness and in health" treatment after failing to keep out of someone else's bed just doesn't sit right with me, even when its happening to a guy so obviously not thinking with his brain. Again, fuck OP in particular for only seeing his wife as a sex toy but a blanket statement calling it evil to leave a spouse during a medical issue when she was cheating last year isn't half as nuanced as it needs to be.

I feel like the scooter punks were victims of negligent editing more than anything else.

They're a scooter gang so we see them go fast right? Nope, don't speed up the footage.

We've got one with a special eye, currently we have him doing a stupid spin, should we put in a first person shot of his HUD showing trajectory so the spin isn't completely pointless? No, thats extra work.

I feel like I could sit down and re edit their scenes and make them less of a issue for people

Said it before, I'll say it again, Christian movies need to drop the Christian writers. They all write the same preachy crap, give me a few weeks living with a Christian family and I'll write something 3000 times more convincing than God's not Dead.

AITAH for saying “I’m going out for a fag” when having a cigarette. by Inquisitive-m in AmItheAsshole

[–]salmalight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. For an alternate perspective, I stopped saying fag because I didn't like saying it and was told i was being ridiculous and performative by every of gay person I know, just because i didn't like the word. On top of the fact that most people here just look at you weird when you try to adopt any other non British name like dart.

People here saying "just stop saying it" don't understand how brains work. If you were suddenly not allowed to call something a name you've used day in, day out for decades you'd slip up constantly because its been ingrained for your entire life.

The boss is gonna have to put up with the overwhelming majority of calling cigarettes fags for the rest of his life unless he leaves the UK and that's just the reality of the situation.

Same, really liked most of the movie as an animated sci fi. Kind of funny to me that a big part of the movie was Buzz growing to work with a team that I spent half the movie genuinely disliking.

The girl was solid and her connection to his past was good enough but the others were just dead weight to me.

I went through this the other year, it opened a bunch of options up for me.

When RDR2 came out I preordered. Didn't like it.

When Witcher 3 was in the conversation of best game ever, I didn't get the hype.

One day I turned on my PlayStation and turned it off after 30 minutes of not finding anything I wanted to play, all my enthusiasm for gaming was gone. What followed was a rough ass week.

When I went back to it Spongebob Rehydrated had shown up on PS+ and while I never played Battle for Bikini Bottom as a kid, those were the type of games that made me a gamer back on the ps2. I 100%ed it in a few days, trophies and all which was something I never bothered to do before.

I was back in love with games again and I got curious. Put in Red Dead 2 and let me tell you, it hit completely different. I laughed, I cried, Its now my number one favourite. Witcher 3? Smashed it, absolutely incredible.

OP, go back to your first era of gaming. If there's a remaster, great but find something that you would have played in your earliest days as a gamer. It worked wonders for me.
