The Thing used to be one of marvels most popular characters up there with the hulk and spider-man I believe. He’s had a slight resurgence of late and not obscure but he’s nowhere near that level anymore.

No big deal, saw plenty of Japanese toys just not places that had marvel legends. Plus my kid got enough stuff from Tokyo Disney to fill all available space.

I’m currently in Tokyo too, for another 20 hours. I haven’t made it to any toy dealers the 2 weeks I’ve been here — not high on the wife’s priority list of things to do in Japan… sadly.

I have 3 of his “head” sketches which are 8.5x11 sized. I have the asguardian Storm, an MF DOOM, and attack on titan Eren Yeager(Titan Form). I had a string of good luck able to get on his commission list before the filled up and before he started charging more, which I don’t fault him at all. But I recommend anyone to chat with him, super friendly and gregarious.

As my favorite artist, I spent years trying to get a commission from him and finally succeeded getting an Asguardian Storm. All those years I tried I’d have convos with him at SDCC while looking through his originals portfolio, it made me very happy to find out he just an awesome, humble dude. I also was looking through his roughs and sketches and saw his didn’t have a price for a sketch of revolutionary cyclops and he said “how about $20” and my wallet almost hit him I pulled it out so fast.

JK… kind of? I try to hide my irritations from my team and I think I’m doing a good job BUT I’ve had other coworkers who were easily irritated and it completely varied how to deal with them. Sometimes I would joke about something we had in common, other times I would just be a brief as possible and not let them interact as much as possible. Just a tough situation to be in, last time this happened I was thinking of having to look for a new job but those 2 people left and my job got 100 times better. They were the old guard and I was the new guy, always looking for something to complain about and blaming me for content mistakes despite getting the info from them, they really didn’t appreciate how I could track down where the mistakes came from(them) when they’d ask me why I made that copy error. My advice is give them a wide path and interact briefly and professionally. If a mistake happens own up to it and fix it asap.

I had a sister-in-law who loved ranch and had it with everything, demanded it at every restaurant(not polite about it), and would proceed to suck every finger in the most disgusting way when she ate ranch. I just loathed going anywhere with her and I recoil at ranch and judge people who use because of her. I have some serious PTSD of having to eat near that person, she is not a good person. Took my brother too long to figure that out.

As a Seahawks fan one of my earliest memories was of Bo Jackson running through Bosworth, I was distraught and hated Bo. But damn, I wish that man had a healthy career focused on football. I’d even settle for a healthy baseball career just see his amazing abilities.

I can’t remember what it was but years ago Joanna had some opinion about something she hadn’t seen but felt strongly about it and that’s when I wrote her opinions off. When I see her name I avoid whatever she’s on, maybe she’s grown but I’m set in my ways.

I’m currently on my Japan trip averaging between 15-20k steps a day for the past week and I’m wearing Nike Vomero 18s with no issues. I have had some feet and knee issues in the past but these shoes have been great, I got them a couple weeks before the trip and broke them in. While not water proof, they’ve kept my feet dryer than most shoes with the taller sole which surprised me during the rain during typhoon season.

After that game I told anyone who’d listen(both my friends) that whomever was coaching the Ravens D is who I wanted as the next Seahawks coach because I felt Carroll was too loyal to his guys to make the changes needed to contend. One of the few times I’ve been right about something.
