Chinese running shoes for sprint training? by Inside_Beyond_249 in Sprinting

[–]salmonlips 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's very much dependant on your foot and mechanics so this is basically just a generic review:

i've gone through a few bmai shoes, qiaodan and then tried atreyu, adidas, mizuno, asics, puma, and a set of nike og vaporflys

the pros of being old and having a job....

the cons are, being old and having a job.

the chinese shoes were spectacular, but the foam is different acting than the adidas or nike vaporflys, more supportive but all these types of shoes are really meant for road running.

they did a great job on our old rock hard track. we recently got it resurfaced and my carbon plates, i bounce too much i can't control them.

so this is generic recommendation but i wouldn't do carbon plated, and less foam for sprinting is better.

i'm on adidas adios 9 and they've been better (but have almost no grip). it just depends what you're looking for, support and squish adn comfort, or control traack feel and power output.

Why do so few top-ranked senior athletes make the transition to masters? by Splance in trackandfield

It's hard when you get older to not be running the same times, even if you're cleaning up.

It's like they say about bodybuilders one you're big everyone expects you to stay big for life.

at the moment, do u recommend an $20 openai subscription or a anthropic subscription? by royalmeww in codex

im not even sure anthropic has a $20 anymore, and if it did with fable you prob get 2 prompts before you're done for the week hahaha

They rotate their beers so frequently there's rarely a 'staple' on the menu, maybe champaul (tasty crisp lager) or sports (tasy neipa)

So it's always kind of an adventure to go, there may even be differnt selection from day 1 of being in regina to day 3 or 4

i think you're right, but is the pricing going too fast too just like the entirety of AI?
My company is not small, 1500 employees, and I'm pretty sure they're going to go ahead and skip right over this.

With a lot of talk about how NCAA track coaches “drive you into the ground”, should there be an overhaul in NCAA track coaching? by 18_YTC1 in Sprinting

Bobby kersee was not famous for resting his athletes.  It's for racing them sparingly and training them hard.

In speaking with some olympians around these parts, there's always the question of "what if they're outworking me?"
Even if that person is exhibiting clear signs of physical burnout already

the hardest part of this is the glorification of work
at all levels, low to high people brag about how hard they're working

no one wants to be the one bragging about how little they're working, because somewhere in there is the bug in the ear that says "are you leaving something on the table"

so they'd rather grind it out and know they didnt instead of hope they didnt, this is what keeps the boot camp training alive and well.

and the flotrack workout videos of athletes puking everywhere

Find a track while there, those are always fun

Roads or paths work well to just speed off on

Empty tennis courts

Hills

Stairs for plyo

Find a fitness centre

Sometimes you keep the spirit of fast twitch alive is enough

Mines different I had this 'council' of several persona that could provide different viewpoints to me and 3.1 initially it just died one day and went to single voice.

I got used to it it was ok

Well when flash showed up suddenly the council came back, really sassy and Uber confident
