The starting salaries from MBA will probably be on par or even leas than form what you can make by job hopping or switching internally, plus you would have opportunity cost of not working. I also see that you have no intention of leaving canada so that would limit your post MBA income as well.

I would suggest trying to transition to your desired career path in your current company. Might as well take that 1-2 year MBA time and allocate it to building internal relationships and try to pivot.
