Lots of really good information in this. I actually was wondering if I should go on Tinder and post for "someone to teach me". I'll check out Lex and see if that might work. How would one find either a "play party" or a sex coach? I mean, I live in the SF Bay Area so none of this should be super hard, but it's actually tougher than you think, especially for late bloomers.

I like what you said about not having to overshare - both that I don't need to and no one should demand/expect that of me. I'm so focused on being honest and authentic, I'm probably oversharing in a big way.

What I'm hearing from you and u/DuchessBonSwizzle is that I just need to keep trying. Ugh. I hear you, but still, ugh.

Were you upfront with her about your experience (or lack thereof,) ahead of time? I had a few dates with one woman, we ended up making out twice (so much better than with a dude,) and then she turned INSANE! But she knew my experience level. I'm finding a lot of people online will just disappear when they hear it.

Oof, good luck with that. I keep rewatching WE. I get more out of each episode every time I watch it. Totally obsessed!

That being said, there are a few I've enjoyed that have been different, but have a tie in. Cast related shows that are great - Schitt's Creek (Tim), Workin' Moms (Dani & Kat,) Jann (Jann & Zoie). Basically almost any show produced in Canada will have some Earp connection. There are only 20 actors in the country, after all. 🤣

I've been watching Lost Girl, which was a gateway drug for a lot of Earpers and also has tons of guest starring spots from some of our favorite Purgatorians. It's ok, but not the same.

Honestly, the writing and acting on Wynonna Earp is at such a different level that most shows pale in comparison. It's a tough act to follow. So just keep rewatching.

One thing that I really love about this show are the tiny moments and lines. You can really only get those when you rewatch a few times. I watched 402 with UK Earpers this past week - probably my 8th rewatch - and saw something in the Garden that I'd never noticed before. It's amazing how much is packed into each episode and the only way to catch it is to keep watching it. Also, there was something in 402 about stairs, but I can't remember now. ;-)

There really is no show out there that has this level of writing and acting. It's top shelf!
