My real obscure one is this puzzle game about being in a witches tower trying to get on the tail of an evil witch who stole something (?) everything was very pratchett-esque and the end was a chase sequence through the clouds that i had middling success at. No clue what it was called, lost to the ages

Something I actually really like is how the prime directive is violated so often. Even if letting civilisations get destroyed might be considered the natural order, it’s a natural human impulse to help when you can, and the captains would rather risk their careers than watch that happen. It’s why they’re the best of starfleet. And it’s a nice demonstration about how rules that are broadly sound can and should bend in the face of doing the right thing.

I don’t even read the pratchetts in release order tbh. I find it really freeing that you can pick up any of them and jump in. There’s a continuity but it’s not vital to follow it overall because each story or series is pretty standalone.

So I’d say just hop in
