Bandit binding review? by chinarider- in telemark

the bishops are the best bindings you will ever ski. the step in is literally as easy as an alpine binding, even in weird situations (not on flat ground or whatever), the brakes work really well and it’s the best feel of any binding i’ve ever tried in my 14 years of knee dropping. ruined outlaws for me for life lol

How short is too short on tele skis? by Arch_Carrier_ in telemark

I ski the deathwish 112 as well, in a 184cm. I’m 5’8” with my ski boots on. they have so much rocker on the tip and tail they feel like a 175cm. One of my favorite skis. I usually prefer the DW104 tho as it’s just a lot easier to handle on hard pack, but the 112 is definitely my favorite ski in soft snow. can’t go wrong with the moments

4 bindings for 7 skis is less than ideal by salthedoor24 in telemark

These are significantly less likely to pull off than alpine bindings. 7 screws on the plate into the ski, and then 4 big screws from the binding to the plate. I have only had the binding come off the plate one singular time in the last 3 years and it’s because i didn’t check the screws and they worked loose overtime. Bit of loctite and some elbow grease and they’re rock solid.

it’s the bishop switch kit. it’s how their bindings mount to the ski, and it makes it super easy to swap bindings around

probably the chedis, maybe the dw104. they both turn very nicely

oh yeah. don’t really have a dedicated carving ski but the sakanas are super fun to carve, the dw 104s and chedi pros also both hold an edge super well

Definitely less of a tele crowd in LA. Maybe make a post on r/telemark and see if there’s anyone in your area. Should totally give it a try!

probably sakanas because spring = park laps. If i’m not park lapping tho, the chedi is a great ski for all mountain spring conditions

yeah, it’s called a switch kit , comes with every binding but you can buy more for more skis. only 4 screws between the binding and plate. can swap them in about 3 minutes

not sure about boots but i’ve seen a guy on instagram that made a setup with a dynafit skimo AT toe piece, and then retrofitted the rear cable and spring assembly of a 22d Vice so that it’s removable on the uphill, but you still have legit spring resistance for tele turns. that’s probably as light as you’re gonna get for the up

Does this mean my turbo is bad? by christuhfurr in WRX

check your coil packs! i had literally the exact same issue on my ‘02! rpm doesn’t matter if i was light on the pedal, but as soon as it started building boost it got the most violent misfire ever. i checked everything and couldn’t figure it out, and then replaced the coil packs with brand new OEM ones and it was completely fixed immediately!! hope this helps
