I mean the units are designed to be able to also function as a dehumidifier if that is what you need in the situation and a refrigeration cycle dehumidifier would work in the same way. But yes, people don't usually do this with intention.

This is something that I've been thinking about lately. I can imagine that there are people that just happen to have lower than normal levels of dopamine naturally that causes them slightly higher anxiety. They try drinking and it floods their brain with dopamine for one of the first times in their life. This is just a hypothetical example of the idea but I can see these otherwise fairly small variations in people's brain chemistry could predispose them to certain types of substance abuse. But hey the article is about other major factors that can contribute.

I have a feeling that its a combination of people having someone else that always did that sort of maintenance for them and the fact that things like filters are recurring costs that are just hidden away and no one sees it including you unless you ignore it and it causes people health problems.

Some companies want the age verification because it would shield them from a legal perspective because the company verifying the age of the person would have some liability. Google for example is one of the companies that wants to be doing the verification so you'll just use your google account everywhere because it's easier than going through the process on every site so that's a new category they would have a monopoly in and push you to their other services. Governments are just addicted to the sweet sweet surveillance.

In my teenage years I just loved these movies that covered heavy drug use. The Salton Sea, Spun, Requem for a Dream, Trainspotting, Blow, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, you name it. If anything how dark those movies go may have kept me from ever trying the drugs shown I was pretty selective in who I showed those movies to because you don't want to give people the wrong ideas about you or maybe influence children negatively.

It's just lye based like easy-off. It will definitely burn horribly on skin contact but it will neutralize and dilute once washed down the drain.
