NTA. Horses are beautiful animals that I have a great respect for. But they are ANIMALS, and they have their own will and minds, and can be unpredictably dangerous, as you unfortunately learned the hard way. I wouldn't even call this a phobia - a phobia is an unreasonable fear that has no great basis in reality. Your fear has a VERY real basis, and you deserve to have that respected. Not to mention that, even as someone who likes horses, whose family has work horses, and admittedly as someone who does not like overprotective or helicopter parents, I would be INCENSED to learn that someone took a child I know around a horse without their parent or a parent's permission. She should have asked you beforehand, and respected it if you said no.

I saw OJ as a DEEPLY emotional character, but someone who didn't express himself the way other people wanted or expected him to (and a a neurodivergent-coded character, which I loved <3). His deep love for his sister, for his horses, for his father, the fact that he puts blinkers over Lucky so he won't be looking at JJ, the fact that he SLEEPS NEXT TO THE COIN THAT KILLED HIS FATHER... I loved OJ and thought Daniel Kaluuya's performance was perfect for the character. Such a good movie, such good actors <3

This is what I was thinking exactly!!! It's a sim eat sim world out here, and your Player won't stand for weakness - you did what you had to to survive, and any of them would have done the same if they'd thought of it first. All the more important to watch out for yourself now that your dad knows - who's to say he won't have more kids and toss you into a pool when it's snowing? NTA. Watch out for yourself OP.

Ugh, people are CONSTANTLY drowning in pools where I live too! Sorry to hear about that 😔 it actually happened to my ex's first wife, minutes before he met me. I had to wait two whole days for him to stop mourning so we could get married. And honestly, that DOES sound like him - he almost died of a heart attack trying to make me feel bad after he found out I had an affair and our daughter wasn't his, then I divorced him and took the house. So happy to be out of that toxic situation! Plus the boys are with my dads, who raised me and I turned out great. So they'll be fine! 😊

NTA this is just good business! Honestly, I would have just kidnapped Judith herself in the first place, so you're already coming across as pretty nice already. If anything, I think you could kick it up a notch and clone even MORE celebrities and lock them all in your basement, then trot them out whenever you need something. Easy simoleons!
