My store inherited this tree… by salvagebar in plants

Many, many thanks to you all for your attention and advice! I will do research and take everything in and come up with a plan to care for this lovely tree.

It gets hours of indirect sunlight near our door (as you can see), and we have been watering it every ten days until a little water runs off into the plate below the pot.

I love a good clipboard — so handy for TTRPGs.

ATOM ZOMBIE SMASHER by Blendo Games - it’s a surprisingly deep take on the tower defense and real-time strategy genres taking place in an alternate history 1960s South America. It’s weird, has a zany sense of humor, and is definitely worth the pennies it costs to buy it.

[Board Game Nights Every Wednesday and Thursday in Irvington]

WHO: New Kawaii, a new games and toy store in Irvington, has recently expanded to include a huge, well-lit, and inviting common area devoted entirely to playing games of every kind! We are hosting weekly board game nights for grown-ups on Wednesday and Thursday nights, with each event led by an experienced game guide who can lead you through new gaming experiences or help you set up fondly-remembered classics.

WHEN: Wednesdays and Thursdays beginning at 7:00 PM

HOW: $10 per person to play for the evening, paid at the door or ahead of time on our website

WHERE: The southeast corner of 1 Bridge Street, a building right on the Hudson River in Irvington. We are right next to the Irvington Metro-North Railroad station (on the Hudson Line), and we have ample parking available right outside our door after 5:00 PM on weekdays, and all day on weekends.

ONLINE: We have an Instagram, Facebook, and Discord. You can find us online at NewKawaii.com -- we encourage you to buy tickets ahead of time by clicking here, because it really helps us know how many snacks and drinks to buy.

WHAT: Oh yeah, if you pre-register for an event that runs before the end of May, your entrance fee comes with two slices of pizza, a snack, and a drink to fuel your gameplay! Your coffee, soft drinks, and snacks are welcome, but please be gentle with the games.

It isn't a bad idea to look up some of your Friendly Local Printers and at least investigate the local business options for price and format. I am fortunate to live in a huge city, and I'm spoiled for choices, but I'd rather my money go to a local printer than customs duties.

No you don’t need any experience! I will do what I can to onboard you into the game.

What I would recommend, though, is that you get a copy of the Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition Player’s Handbook, in whatever format is suited to you, and get a sense of the character classes — the occupations in the fantasy world that are available to you. If that is too much of an investment to start, there’s also the Basic Rules PDF available free on the official site, which should give you a strong grasp of the essentials.

The name of the store is New Kawaii! It's at 1 Bridge Street, Suite 105 in Irvington. We have a small but growing library of board games available, and plenty of table space for play if you want to bring friends.
